Sportsnet N.Y. Promoting Steve Raab To President

Raab To Become SNY President
By John Ourand, Staff Writer

STEVE RAAB is being promoted to President of SportsNet N.Y., replacing JON LITNER, who was promoted last month to President of Comcast SportsNet. Raab had been the network’s Senior VP/Marketing & Business Development, where he oversaw a 50% ad revenue jump this year and has seen ratings for Mets telecasts increase 44% to date this season (to a 3.2 cable Nielsen rating from a 2.2 last year). In his new role, Raab will oversee all day-to-day operations, including production, programming, marketing, sales, PR and distribution.

MORE PROMOTIONS: Also, STEPHANIE LAFAIR SMITH has been promoted to President of CSN Philadelphia and JIM CORNO has been promoted to President of CSN Chicago. Smith and Corno, who report to Litner, each previously held the title of Senior VP & GM.
