In this week’s SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, Terry Lefton reports former Reebok and Fila exec HOWE BURCH and former IMG exec BARBARA PERRY have teamed to open sports and entertainment agency PerryBurch in Baltimore and Philadelphia. Also, former NFL and Octagon exec EVAN KAMER is joining CHRIS RUSSO’s Fantasy Sports Ventures as Exec VP/New Business. Kamer and Russo previously worked together at the NFL. Meanwhile, the AFL named former NBA and SI marketer MIKE MCNEIL VP/National Sales, NASCAR named Strategic Associate VP & Group Account Dir LISA BANBURY Senior Account Manager and Rubenstein Communications named former ESPN exec ASHLEY (SWADEL) HUSTON VP (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 3/26 issue)....The IRL named Indianapolis Motor Speedway VP/Marketing TERRY ANGSTADT President of the commercial division. IRL President & COO BRIAN BARNHART will remain President of competition and operations (INDY STAR, 3/24)....Burton Snowboards named GABRIELLE SAMPIETRO to the newly-created position of VP/Apparel. Sampietro previously created her own apparel company and help senior level positions at other corporations (Burton).
