Saints Close To Selling Out Suites, Season Tickets For First Time In Franchise History |
The Saints “are on the verge of selling out all 137 luxury suites and more than
68,000 season tickets in the Superdome this year for the first time in team history,”
according to Triplett & Duncan of the New Orleans TIMES-PICAYUNE. The inventory
of suites “is closer to 120 when factoring in the suites reserved for the team’s
use, the 10 suites the state is obligated to buy, and those committed to the Louisiana
governor and the visiting teams’ owners, among others.” The club, which has a
season-ticket waiting list of about 25,000, last year sold out of season tickets
for the first time and sold “about three-fourths of the suites,” which range in
price from $80,000-125,000. Saints officials “think the franchise has never sold
out its luxury suites since the 300-level suites were added in the early 1990s.”
Saints Senior VP/Marketing & Business Development Ben Hales said this “allows
us to focus on other important revenue areas like sponsorships, local broadcasting
agreements and merchandise" (New
Orleans TIMES-PICAYUNE, 3/16).
