Sedin Twins To Star In Spot For
NHL’s “Just Like Us” Campaign
Canucks LW Daniel Sedin and his twin brother, C Henrik, will be featured in a new spot for the NHL’s “Just Like Us” campaign expected to air “in a couple weeks.” The spot shows bachelors ordering “Swedish twins” only to “gasp in shock and awe when Daniel and Henrik knock on their door instead of a pair of buxom blonds.” Director Jason Reitman “pitched [the idea] to the NHL.” Reitman: “I said, ‘You have two identical twins who are the points leaders on the Canucks. You have to promote someone from the Pacific Northwest’” (Vancouver PROVINCE, 2/4).

HOWARD: In this week’s SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, Terry Lefton writes Phillies 1B Ryan Howard has agreed to an endorsement deal with Subway. The deal is “one of the first brought to Howard by CAA” since signing with the agency last month (SBJ, 2/5 issue).

DE LA HOYA: Boxer Oscar De La Hoya was featured in a two-page ad in the weekend edition of Wall Street Journal with the copy, “Every journey needs a Journal” (THE DAILY).
