Colts’ Ticket, Suite Sales Receiving
Bump From Super Bowl Run
|
In the past two weeks, “about 2,000 fans” have placed deposits to
secure their spots on the waiting list for Colts season tickets, up from the typical
200-250 deposits a week, according to Erika Smith of the INDIANAPOLIS STAR. Colts
VP/Premium Seating & Ticket Sales Greg Hylton “attributed the rush not
only to the Super Bowl but also to general excitement” about the new Lucas
Oil Stadium, which is scheduled to open in ’08. Smith writes all 140 luxury
suites are sold for the ’08 season, and it is “unclear how many regular
and club seats, which cost about $2,500, are left for the taking.” The Colts
“have only started calling current club-seat holders to ask if they want
to renew their contracts,” and will begin asking regular season-ticket holders
this spring (INDIANAPOLIS
STAR, 1/31).
