Meissner Adds Endorsements Following
U.S. Figure Skating Championship |
Three days after winning the U.S. Figure Skating Championship, Kimmie Meissner “has agreed to three major endorsement deals and an ice show tour,” according to Candus Thomson of the Baltimore SUN. Meissner will appear in national Subway ads, including spots with Saints RB Reggie Bush, and she also “will do promotional work for Visa and Under Armour.” IMG VP Yuki Saegusa, Meissner’s agent, would not disclose terms of the deals. Meissner also will skate in 14 cities as part of the Champions on Ice tour and three dates in Florida with Stars on Ice. The “high-profile deals are in stark contrast to the level of interest that followed her surprising win of the world title last March.” She “skated a few shows” and did a regional spot for Subway. In Under Armour and Subway, Meissner has “chosen products she uses” (Baltimore SUN, 1/31). Meissner mentioned sponsors Subway, Under Armour and Visa during a live interview with Meredith Vieira on NBC’s “Today” show this morning. Meissner followed the interview with a performance on the ice rink at Rockefeller Center (“Today,” NBC, 1/31).
PITCH WOMAN: Under Armour has also signed U.S. national softball team P Cat Osterman (Under Armour).
