MONTJEU’s weanling colt and GONE WEST’s weanling filly sold for
$2.7M and $2.4M, respectively, during the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale,
setting Keeneland records in each category. The colt will race in Japan and the
filly’s buyer “plans to send her to France.” A weanling is less than one year
old (LEXINGTON HERALD-LEADER, 11/8).
PEN & TELLER: CARLO DEVITO has written “WELLINGTON: THE MARAS,
THE GIANTS, AND THE CITY OF NEW YORK,” which traces the sports history of
the Mara family and late Giants co-Owner WELLINGTON MARA in N.Y. Devito,
on whether he received assistance from the Giants or the Mara family: “I got none.
... It was very clear that they did not wish to participate and so I had to write
the book without them.” Devito said he has received no feedback from either party
about the book (“Mike & the Mad Dog,” YES Network, 11/8).

in Daytona Beach on Monday. Police Chief MIKE CHITWOOD said that officers
“did not ask France to perform a field sobriety test because, ‘He did not smell
