Univ. Of Kansas Hospital Becomes Sprint Center Partner

Univ. Of Kansas Hospital Becomes
Founding Partner Of Sprint Center
The Univ. of Kansas Hospital has reached a deal to become a founding partner of Sprint Center, giving it “exclusive advertising consideration” as the official health care partner, according to Kevin Collison of the K.C. STAR. The hospital will receive a sponsorship, advertising and promotional package that includes “recognition on the venue’s exterior freeway marquees, permanent signs inside the building and electronic advertising opportunities.” The hospital, UMB Bank and Farmland Foods — the first three founding partners — paid AEG an up-front fee “in return for special advertising and marketing privileges” at the $276M arena, currently under construction. AEG “eventually wants to have 12 founding partners signed up for the project as part of its revenue strategy” (K.C. STAR, 10/25).
