MacGregor Golf To Acquire Greg Norman Collection

MacGregor Golf has agreed to acquire the Greg Norman Collection (GNC) apparel business from the adidas Group. In addition, Greg Norman has purchased a significant stake in MacGregor and will serve on the company’s BOD, where he will take on a proactive role with sales and marketing, product development and int’l distribution. The companies will maintain their own corporate offices, and MacGregor Golf President Reid Gorman and GNC President & CEO Suzy Bisantz will keep their current roles. adidas AG Chair & CEO Herbert Hainer said in a statement the Greg Norman brand is “not core in the scope of our global golf strategy. Due to its limited integration opportunities and small size, we were open to sell the business unit to golfer Greg Norman and the MacGregor Golf Company” (MacGregor).
