Fox’ Traveling NFL Pregame, Buck As Host Might Last One Year

Writer Questions Whether Buck (l) And
Bradshaw Can Share The Same Stage

Fox’ Joe Buck serving as host of the “Fox NFL Sunday” pregame
show, and the network taking the show on the road “to wherever Buck is calling
a game, will only last one season,” according to sources cited by Bob Raissman
of the N.Y. DAILY NEWS. A source said, “It’s a one-and-done thing.
After all the added competition settles in this season, there will be no need
for Fox to continue engaging in what will be a logistical nightmare.” Raissman
added that there already is speculation on how Terry Bradshaw, “so used
to being the star [of the pregame show] will react to Buck’s wit and sarcasm.”
Bradshaw recently said, “Chemistry is one thing, but as I told Joe, I said,
‘Here’s your job: Read the (tele)prompter and get us to commercial
break. We’ll take care of the rest.’” Raissman: “There
is no way Buck is going to be relegated to the role of traffic cop. After a few
weeks, this will be Buck’s show” (N.Y.
DAILY NEWS, 8/27).
