Eagles Deny Backdoor Deal Put Tickets On RazorGator Site

Number Of Eagles Single-Game
Tickets Available On Web Site

Around 1,500 tickets were available on RazorGator.com Thursday afternoon for the October 8 Cowboys-Eagles game, one day after Eagles single-game tickets sold out “in a matter of minutes,” according to Paul Vigna of the PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS, who notes, “Finding that reservoir of available tickets for all the [Eagles’] home games particularly rankled fans.” The team and RazorGator are in the second year of what Eagles Senior VP/Business Operations Mark Donovan called a “multiyear” deal, and Vigna reports the company advertises via the Eagles’ Web site, programs and magazine, while also sending a mailer to season-ticket holders. But Donovan said, “They are an advertising partner only. We have absolutely no involvement in a ticket transaction. We don’t share in that.” He added that RazorGator is given “privileges consistent with Lincoln Financial and the team’s many other partners, including tickets.” Donovan: “We did do a single-game sale [for fans]. They went in minutes. They always do. It’s the same number of tickets that we sell every year” (PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS, 6/16).
