CSTV made an upfront presentation to advertisers for the first time last night, converting its studios “into an open-house affair, headlined by magician Ricky Jay.” The net, which has seven original series in the works, streamed the event online (CABLEFAX DAILY, 4/20)....FSN Arizona has inked a deal with the WNBA Mercury to air five of the team’s games during the ’06 season. It will be the first time FSN Arizona has carried Mercury games (THE DAILY)....Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers will provide the opening music for all ABC NBA playoff broadcasts, as well as for ESPN’s coverage of the Eastern Conference Finals. The telecasts will feature exclusive rights to two songs, “Saving Grace” and “Big Weekend,” which will appear on Petty’s upcoming summer release “Highway Companion” (ESPN).
