Podcast From A Pub: Ourand, Mickle discuss the day’s Olympic issues

Once again, our writers on the ground in London, John Ourand and Tripp Mickle, discuss the Olympic issues of the day over a pint — technically, a pint of “bitter” for Ourand, and one of ice-cold Guinness for Mickle (“It always tastes better over here.”). This time it’s from The Lamb, a pub built in the 18th century that was once the meeting place for a group of influential writers in the 1920s.

Among the topics our influential writers tackled on Tuesday evening:

Why does it seem like business is dead in town, and how do the locals feel about that?

Ourand discusses the mood at NBC following a day spent with NBC Sports Chairman Mark Lazarus.

Mickle, on the beach volleyball venue at Horse Guards Parade: “I can’t overstate how great it was. It was really fantastic.”
