PeacePlayers column on Mideast presents ‘teaching moment’ for sports business

I am writing to commend the excellent opinion piece titled, “PeacePlayers Building Bridges in a Divided Middle East,” in the Aug. 28 issue. I believe this kind of journalism offers a significant “teaching moment” for the sports business community. As you know well, we tend to be a bit myopic worrying about sponsorship, per caps, wins, and losses. Your willingness to tackle such an emotionally charged societally important subject adds meaningful credibility to your publication. I believe the only path to a Mideast solution is communication and shared experiences, not polarization. I am so impressed you chose to write it, and that your ownership supported its publication. I have a greater respect for your organization having done so. My sincere thanks.
