The Seattle Mariners named Trevor Gooby vice president of ballpark operations. Gooby was the Pittsburgh Pirates’ senior director of operations in Florida and the Dominican Republic.

The Class A South Atlantic League’s Lexington (Ky.) Legends  named Jesse Scaglion director of corporate sales and Jillian Waitkus executive assistant to the president and chief executive officer.  

Ryan-Sanders Baseball hired Elisa Fogle as director of special events for H-E-B Big League Weekend in San Antonio.  
 
Colleges
Winthrop University hired Renae Myles as senior associate athletic director for internal operations, chief operating officer and senior woman administrator.

Florida Gulf Coast University promoted Michael Miller to assistant athletic director for facilities and operations, Alex Massé to assistant athletic director for compliance and women’s soccer sport coordinator, and Antoinette Biffar to director of business operations. Michael Estes will assume oversight of facilities and operations, Graham Diemer will be sport coordinator for men’s golf and Kelly Jean Brock will be sport coordinator for men’s tennis.

The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference named Robert DeVita director of new media and communications. DeVita was a media relations associate for the New York Mets.

St. John’s University named Nick Vendikos senior director of development for athletics. Vendikos was director of development for Catholic Foundation of Brooklyn and Queens-Futures in Education.

The Big East named Katie Willett associate commissioner of compliance and governance. Willett was NCAA associate director of academic and membership affairs.
 
The College of William & Mary Athletic Director Terry Driscoll will retire June 30.  
 
The University of California, Berkeley, promoted Ryan Cobb to senior associate athletic director for performance, health and welfare; Chris Pezman to chief operating officer and senior associate athletic director for facilities, operations and event management; Ashwin Puri to senior associate athletic director for revenue generation, sales and service, in addition to his title as chief revenue officer; and Jenny Simon-O’Neill to senior associate athletic director and senior woman administrator.  
 
The University of North Texas named Ryan Peck executive senior associate athletic director for external affairs. Peck was associate vice chancellor for external affairs at the University of Denver.
 
Facilities
New Hampshire Motor Speedway named Jason Racine vice president of operations and development.
 
Golf
The Tiger Woods Foundation hired Dave Klewan as general manager of the PGA Tour Genesis Open. Klewan was general manager of the World Series of Beach Volleyball and Management Plus Enterprises.
 
Hockey
The Chicago Blackhawks named Nate Haeni media relations coordinator. Haeni was communications manager for the American Hockey League’s Rockford (Ill.) IceHogs.
 
The New York Rangers named Eric Doyle scout. Doyle was director of player personnel for the Western Hockey League’s Portland Winterhawks.
 
Law
BakerHostetler hired Ronald Gaither as a partner in the litigation group and the sports and entertainment industry team.
 
Media
ESPN promoted Michael Shiffman to vice president of content strategy for “SportsCenter” and news.

MP & Silva Chief Executive Officer Marco Auletta resigned but will remain a minority shareholder.

CBS Radio named J.D. Crowley executive vice president of digital. Crowley was senior vice president and general manager of digital media at CBS Television Distribution.  

Motorsports
The International Hot Rod Association named Maurice Allen managing director in Australia.
 
Soccer
FIFA hired Marco van Basten as chief officer for technical development.

Sporting Goods and Apparel
Dick’s Sporting Goods promoted Lee Belitsky to chief financial officer.  
 
Tennis
International Tennis Federation Executive Director of Commercial Andrew Walker left the organization.
