Horowitz to oversee Fox Sports digital

Jamie Horowitz now will oversee Fox Sports’ digital operations.

The president of Fox Sports’ National Networks takes over the role vacated by Pete Vlastelica, who left as executive vice president of digital last month to become president and CEO of Activision Blizzard’s esports division, Major League Gaming.

“We’re going to continue to make a big bet on FoxSportsGo and bring Fox content to fans wherever they are,” Horowitz said. “We’re also exploring partnership deals that are out there. You read about what we did with Sports Illustrated, where we’re sharing revenue and sharing content. That deal with Sports Illustrated fulfills my lifelong dream of being a colleague with [Sports Illustrated media columnist] Richard Deitsch.”
