In The Office: Jamie Pollard, Iowa State University

Jamie Pollard’s office décor reflects the success of Iowa State athletics over his 11 years at the Big 12 school.

Some items serve as a reminder for how fortunate he’s been after experiencing a heart attack in March 2015. A story in the ISU alumni magazine detailing Pollard’s scary episode and recovery is framed on one wall. “It’s a great story about family and what matters in life,” he said, “and kind of what we’ve built our athletics department on, and so the whole emotion of it is, ‘Where the Heart Is.’ The heart’s with your family.”

The office windows face the south end zone, providing Pollard with a prime view of the Sukup End Zone Club, which opened in 2015 as part of the expansion of Jack Trice Stadium.
