Basketball
The WNBA’s Dallas Wings hired Mary O’Connor as president of business operations. O’Connor was senior vice president of sports at The Marketing Arm.

Colleges
Belmont University promoted Renee Schultz to associate athletic director for student services and senior woman administrator.

The University of Washington promoted Kate Cullen to senior associate athletic director and chief financial officer, and hired Roy Shick as senior associate athletic director for external affairs. Shick was senior associate athletic director for development at the University of Texas.

The University of New Mexico hired Eric Schultz as associate athletic director for compliance, Amy Beggin as director of compliance, James Glover assistant producer for Lobo TV, and Kasey Byers as assistant athletic director for video production.

The University of Northern Iowa named Christina Roybal senior associate athletic director for sports administration and senior woman administrator. Roybal was assistant athletic director for administrative operations at Fresno State University.

The University of Colorado-Colorado Springs promoted Nathan Gibson to athletic director.

The University of South Carolina promoted Charles Bloom to executive associate athletic director and chief of staff, Judy Van Horn to executive associate athletic director for sport and risk management, Chris Rogers to senior associate athletic director for administration, Chance Miller to associate athletic director for compliance, and Eric Nichols to senior associate athletic director for marketing and branding.

Mississippi State University named Jared Benko senior associate athletic director for finance. Benko was assistant athletic director for finance at Auburn.

Seattle Pacific University named Jackson Stava athletic director. Stava was associate athletic director at Azusa Pacific University.

Football
The NFL named Jocelyn Moore as senior vice president for public policy and government affairs. Moore was a managing director at the Glover Park Group.

Hockey
The Chicago Blackhawks named Will Chukerman media relations assistant.

Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment’s collegiate services division hired Marty Shimmel as general manager for Niagara University and John Clamme as general manager for the University of San Francisco.

Joyce Julius & Associates promoted Katacia Tramble to vice president and senior director of TV research.

Turner appointed Michael Harwayne to vice president of strategy. Harwayne was vice president of corporate strategy and development for Time Inc.

The Tampa Bay Times named Mike Sherman sports editor. Sherman was sports editor for The Oklahoman.

MLS/SUM named Christa Mann communications manager. Mann was communications manager for USA Track & Field.

Sports Equipment and Apparel
Football helmet maker Vicis hired Jason Neubauer as director of product development and Bill Setter as vice president of operations. Neubauer was director of research and development at K2 Sports, and Setter was an operations leader at Precor Fitness.

Other
The U.S. Equestrian Federation named Murray Kessler president.

USA Rugby named Dan Payne chief executive officer. Payne was athletic director at Life University.

The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics named University of Texas women’s athletic director and executive senior associate athletic director for external services Chris Plonsky president for the 2016-17 term, University of North Carolina Athletic Director Bubba Cunningham first vice president, Georgetown University Athletic Director Lee Reed second vice president and University of Arizona Athletic Director Greg Byrne third vice president.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame named James Brown of CBS Sports the 2016 recipient of the Pete Rozelle Radio-Television Award.
