The Philadelphia 76ers hired Charlie Widdoes as director of digital content. Widdoes was director of digital content for the New York Knicks.

Colleges
Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Commissioner Bob Boerigter announced his retirement, effective Jan. 31.

Bowling Green State University named Bob Moosbrugger athletic director, effective July 18. Moosbrugger was deputy athletic director and chief operating officer at San Diego State University.

Kansas State University hired former University of Minnesota football coach Jerry Kill as associate athletic director for administration.

Quinnipiac University hired Sarah Fraser as deputy athletic director, effective June 1. Fraser was senior associate athletic director for compliance at Brown University.

The University of California, Davis, named Kevin Blue athletic director, effective June 21. Blue was senior associate athletic director for external relations at Stanford University.

The University of Delaware named Christine Rawak athletic director, effective June 5. Rawak was executive senior associate athletic director at the University of Michigan.

KULL
The University of South Florida promoted Barry Clements to executive deputy athletic director and hired Scott Kull as deputy athletic director for external operations. Kull was senior associate athletic director for external operations at Texas Christian University.

Winthrop University named Ken Halpin athletic director, effective July 11. Halpin was deputy athletic director at Eastern Washington University.

Penn State University promoted Herb Combs to assistant athletic director for outdoor athletic facilities, Ken Cutler to assistant athletic director for major gifts and Nikki Potoczny to assistant athletic director for the annual fund.

Football
The NFL named former player and congressman Jon Runyan vice president of policy and rules administration.

Marketing

FISHER
MICHINARD
Learfield Sports named Paul Michinard general manager for the Patriot League and Earle Fisher general manager for the Southland Conference. Michinard was a senior account executive for Rutgers IMG Sports Marketing, and Fisher was an account manager for VLG Marketing.

TSMGI hired Steve Schanwald as vice president and chief marketing officer of its strategic consulting division. Schanwald was executive vice president of business operations for the Chicago Bulls.

Media
ESPN promoted Nate Ravitz to vice president of audience development and Rob Savinelli to vice president of talent negotiations, and named Leah LaPlaca vice president of espnW and growth initiatives. Senior vice president of production Mo Davenport will now focus on Disney’s involvement with the Special Olympics and ESPY Day.

Motorsports
Richard Childress Racing promoted Jeremy Burleson to vice president of partnership marketing and communications, and hired Carl Anderson to its business development team and Jay Pennell as part of its communications staff.

Sporting Goods and Apparel
Genesco Inc. named David Baxter a senior vice president of Genesco and president and chief executive officer of its Lids Sports Group.

Tennis
The U.S. Tennis Association hired Amy Choyne as chief marketing officer. Choyne was senior vice president of global marketing for Aeropostale.

Other
The National Cutting Horse Association named Terry Bassett chief marketing officer. Bassett was executive vice president of sales and partnership marketing for Professional Bull Riders.

Awards and Boards
The Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation named Paul Holmgren, president of the Philadelphia Flyers, and Paul Troy, a partner at law firm Kane, Pugh, Knoell, Troy & Kramer, to its board of directors.

Foot Locker named Richard Johnson, its president and chief executive officer, as chairman of the board and Dona Young as lead director.

The AutoZone Liberty Bowl Festival Association named Scott Barber president, Pat Caldwell chairperson, Leigh Shockey vice president, Bill Kinkade secretary and Bill Giles treasurer for 2016.
