The Toronto-based firm, which does business as Stadium Consultants International in the U.S., flies largely under the radar compared with its domestic counterparts. But under Beynon’s leadership, the company stands out for its design role in the $1 billion transformation of Madison Square Garden, the most expensive arena renovation in sports. More recently, the firm designed a $70 million facelift to the Forum, the former home of the Los Angeles Lakers and Kings, which MSG bought and converted into a concert hall. The company would not disclose current projects, but sources said SCI is working with the Utah Jazz on major upgrades to Vivint Smart Home Arena, a project that could top out at $160 million.
