It’s trophy time again

The ninth annual Sports Business Awards are scheduled for May 18 in New York City, where nominees will compete for the prize in 17 categories. This year the competition includes three new categories: Best in Sports Social Media, Sports Breakthrough of the Year and Best in Mobile Fan Experience. Here we introduce you to this year’s list of 87 nominees, 39 of whom are in contention for the first time.

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth.
