The Cleveland Indians promoted Koby Perez to director of Latin American baseball operations.

The Class A South Atlantic League’s Delmarva Shorebirds promoted Andrew Bryda to director of business development and Eric Sichau to director of community relations and promotions, and hired Brendan Gulick as director of broadcasting and Jaime Cutter and Jason Tremblay as ticket sales account executives.

Colleges
Winthrop University Athletic Director Tom Hickman announced his retirement, effective June 30.

Facilities
Texas Motor Speedway hired Paul Monroe as marketing director. Monroe was vice president of marketing and communications for the Dallas Mavericks.

Football
The Atlanta Falcons hired Phil Emery and Ruston Webster as national scouts. Emery was general manager of the Chicago Bears, and Webster was general manager of the Tennessee Titans.

The National Golf Foundation promoted Greg Nathan to chief business officer.

The Columbus Blue Jackets hired Becky Coffey as director of corporate development services. Coffey was director of partnership activation for the Chicago Bears.

The ATP World Tour promoted Ross Hutchins to chief player officer, Mario Vergara to vice president of player relations, David Massey to executive vice president of ATP Europe, Eric Starelli to senior vice president of sales and Maria Garcia Planas-Albert and Fabienne Benoit to senior manager, and hired Ryan O’Keefe as manager of sales and sponsorship management, Arnau Brugues as manager of the ATP Challenger Tour and Loulou Rowlands as coordinator of player relations.

UFC hired Kevin Chang as vice president of Asia content. Chang was director of international media for the NFL.

HANK
Technology and management consultancy SSB named Steve Hank senior partner. Hank was chief revenue officer for athletics at the University of Texas.

Virgin Sport hired Erin Sprague as global head of marketing and custom experience, and Jessica Frey as director of strategy and planning. Sprague was head of women’s product and brand for Specialized Bicycle Components, and Frey was manager of strategy and operations for the New York Road Runners.

Awards and Boards
The Sport and Recreation Law Association named Adam Epstein of Central Michigan University, Dylan Williams of the University of Alabama and Kristi Schoepfer of Winthrop University recipients of its annual awards.
