VanDerSnick and Hilliard leaving IMG College

Two more high-ranking IMG College executives will leave the company in March.

Roger VanDerSnick, chief sales and marketing officer, and Kelli Hilliard, a senior vice president over business development and partnership management, both confirmed that they’re parting ways with IMG College.

The departures come on the heels of Janeen Lalik’s resignation earlier this month. Lalik was a key figure in IMG’s college relationships. Additionally, Mike Wolfert recently left to join Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment.

Wolfert, Lalik and Hilliard all were longtime ISP Sports and IMG College executives — Wolfert 16 years, Lalik 18 years and Hilliard 19.

VanDerSnick joined IMG College in 2011 after a distinguished decade of work in NASCAR. He was brought on board by IMG College Chairman Emeritus Ben Sutton to help integrate the ISP Sports properties, acquired in 2010, with IMG.

The position that VanDerSnick is departing will not be filled.

“It’s the right time to make a change,” said VanDerSnick, 52, who is unsure of his next move. “I was really brought on to integrate all of Ben’s company (ISP) with IMG, and set a course to move from a transactional sales group to a more conceptual sales organization. I’m proud of what we put into place.”

IMG in a statement said: “Roger made a strong and lasting impact to help IMG successfully build the industry’s first national collegiate platform and integrate our coast-to-coast sales staff. We thank him for his dedication and wish him the very best in his next chapter.”

Prior to entering the college division, VanDerSnick had become one of the most influential executives in motorsports. At International Speedway Corp., VanDerSnick ran the company’s day-to-day business as chief operating officer and previously was the chief marketer. He also had overseen brand and consumer marketing for NASCAR.

HILLIARD
Hilliard went to work with Sutton at ISP in late 1996 and developed the company’s training and professional development program, in addition to business development and the company’s corporate hospitality and entertainment initiatives.

She also oversaw IMG College’s relationships with the National Football Foundation, NCAA, College Football Playoff, NACDA and other associations.

When Hilliard departs at the end of March, she plans to join The Riverbend Group in Atlanta, the same city where she was based with IMG. Riverbend consults with businesses on culture and team building, people and organizational development and marketing strategies.
