USTA to offer discount on Tennis Channel Plus

Tennis Channel has formed a new partnership with the U.S. Tennis Association to promote the media outlet’s over-the-top offering. The parties plan to announce the arrangement today.

The USTA, which owns a small equity piece of Tennis Channel, will offer a discount to the media company’s Tennis Channel Plus service during two exclusive periods in the next six months: Nov. 30-Dec. 31 and May 1-June 5.

USTA members can get 25 percent off the $79.99 annual subscription price during these windows. Nonmembers who sign up through the USTA can get 20 percent off.

The OTT service offers anyone in the United States, regardless of whether they subscribe to Tennis Channel, live coverage from more than 50 tournaments, including the French Open, Australian Open and Davis Cup. There also is archived original network programming and highlights.

In return, Tennis Channel will produce video promotions for the USTA’s member database and creative elements for member outreach.

Tennis Channel launched its OTT service in May 2014.
