Golf benefit for hockey foundation

At the Philadelphia Flyers Celebrity Golf Tournament on Sept. 15 benefiting the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation at Trump National in Pine Hill, N.J.: Bill Whitmore, AlliedBarton Security Services and tournament co-chair; Scott Tharp, Snider Hockey; Chris McElwee, Fastrack Construction and tournament co-chair; Ed Snider, Comcast Spectacor; Wayne Simmonds, Flyers forward and tournament co-chair; Ron Caplan, Philadelphia Management Corp. and tournament co-chair; and Bill Barber, Flyers hall of famer. The tournament raised a record $1.6 million for the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation.

The race is on

Bo Time for the ACC

Bojangles’ President and CEO Clifton Rutledge and ACC Commissioner John Swofford announced Sept. 23 that Bojangles’ has joined the ACC’s corporate champion program as the exclusive chicken, biscuits and iced tea of the ACC.

Nuchow honored at UMass

CAA Sports co-head Howie Nuchow (center) was recently presented the McCormack Department of Sport Management VanderZwaag Distinguished Alumnus Award during a visit to the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
