The Washington Nationals hired Kristine Sockwell Friend as vice president of brand marketing and Andrew Bragman as senior director of ticket operations. Friend was senior director of buzz marketing for Marriott International, and Bragman was director of ticket operations for the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Basketball
The Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx promoted Jake Vernon to vice president of ticket sales and service.

Colleges
The American Athletic Conference promoted Patrick Colbert to director of sport administration and championships and Catherine Carmignani to assistant director of branding and sport administration.

The Eastern College Athletic Conference promoted Rob Healey to administrator of officiating and hired John Rollins as associate vice president for administration and finance; Lori Mazza as associate vice president for championships, leagues and affiliates; Meghan O’Brien as director of sport administration for marketing and communications; and Ben Horner as coordinator of sport administration for new media and digital communications.

HOK hired Kevin Staten as a design professional in the firm’s St. Louis office.

Olympia Entertainment promoted Stephen Nagrant to strategic partnership developer.

Barclays Center hired Paola Palazzo as vice president of entertainment industry relations and event development in its new Los Angeles office. Palazzo was vice president of booking for The Forum in Los Angeles.

The team hired Emily Lucas as corporate communications coordinator, Monique Smith as 49ers Museum lead educator, Cicely Nash as event planner and Hillary Wallach as a member services representative.

The Seattle Seahawks hired Brandon Harrell as legal counsel. Harrell was an associate at Beveridge & Diamond.

Hockey
The Los Angeles Kings hired Samson Lee as video coordinator, Michael Brady as a customer service representative and Shea Kelly as an analyst for marketing intelligence.

The American Hockey League promoted Michael Murray to executive vice president of hockey operations and Melissa Caruso to vice president of hockey administration.

The American Hockey League’s Chicago Wolves promoted Jackie Schroeder to senior director of ticket retention and services, Anthony Krzyzak to senior account executive, John Brooks to account representative and Pawel Sienko and Mike Czopek to account executives.

ROI Sports Group promoted Shimi Grinfeld to manager of research and analytics.

Lammi Sports Management hired Thomas Gubbins as an account manager.

Learfield Sports named T.A. Iadevaia to vice president of financial planning and analysis in the company’s North Texas headquarters, and Roger Wexelberg general manager for Bradley Sports Properties at Bradley University. Iadevaia was principal for Riveron Consulting, and Wexelberg was vice president of development and public relations for Lakeshore Public Media.

Team Epic promoted Joseph Carroll to vice president, group director for the agency’s consulting and execution work for AT&T; Emily Spiegel to vice president, group director for the agency’s work in customer events and consulting; and Neil Howard to vice president, group director for the agency’s consulting and execution work for Toyota.

MKTG hired Jim Garofalo as a vice president of client services. Garofalo was director of marketing for global sports services at Gatorade.
