Falcons going Deep Eddy
The Atlanta Falcons have a new multiyear sponsorship deal with Texas-based Deep Eddy Vodka that starts this season. Terms were not disclosed. The company said the vodka will be sold before and during Falcons home games at concession bars and mobile bars, and for order in luxury suites.

BALTIMORE
UA delays plan for stock split

Under Armour is pushing back a planned 2-for-1 stock split until a lawsuit with shareholders is resolved. Shareholders filed suit against the Baltimore-based company June 18, contending Under Armour board members breached their fiduciary duties by approving a new class of stock and changes to the company’s charter. In a federal filing dated Aug. 14, Under Armour said it agreed with the plaintiffs to delay the new class of stock until 10 business days after a judgment is reached in the case. The stock split is set to be voted on at a special shareholders meeting on Wednesday.

BUFFALO
‘One Buffalo’ beer on tap

A partnership between Southern Tier Brewing Co. and Pegula Sports and Entertainment has resulted in a branded beer known as One Buffalo. Pegula Sports owns both the Buffalo Bills and Sabres. Southern Tier said One Buffalo is a combination of North American hops, malted barley, oats and wheat.

Eichel working with Bauer
Jack Eichel, the No. 2 pick overall pick this past June by the Buffalo Sabres in the NHL draft, is now an endorser for Bauer Hockey. Eichel will use the company’s equipment, wear its lifestyle apparel and work with the company’s product development team to provide insight and feedback into future product direction.

USA Wrestling, UFC renew partnership

USA Wrestling, the national governing body for wrestling in the U.S., and the UFC renewed their partnership to promote interest in wrestling and mixed martial arts. This is the second straight year the organizations have agreed to find new ways to build and expand their cooperative efforts.

COLUMBUS
Blue Jackets start the ‘March’

The Columbus Blue Jackets unveiled their latest marketing campaign with the tag line “March With Us” and ads that incorporate the themes of team, city and fans. Video ads narrated by ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit use footage from games alongside familiar Columbus landmarks. The previous campaign, “Join the Battle,” lasted for three seasons.

New member enrollment is a one-time process that takes about two minutes.

Biometrics speed up ballpark entry

Clear, a biometric identity platform used at airports, has partnered with the Colorado Rockies to provide fans an expedited entrance option at Coors Field. Ticket holders now will be able to use Fast Access powered by Clear at a dedicated lane at the ballpark. In May, Clear unveiled a similar alliance with the San Francisco Giants for AT&T Park.

Jags award local small business

The winner of the Small Business

Breakthrough contest conducted by the Jacksonville Jaguars and Web.com is Modasten Inc., according to a St. Augustine Record report. Modasten is a Jacksonville-based action sports sunglasses and apparel company and will receive services and promotions worth an estimated $250,000.

Eagles, Wawa serve official hoagie

The Philadelphia Eagles reached a multiyear deal with convenience store chain Wawa. The partnership includes “official hoagie” status with the team. Specific financial terms were not disclosed. The Eagles and Wawa also will work together on a variety promotions this season, including opportunities for fans to win tickets to games, autographed merchandise and unique experiences.

Second Chelsea store opens

Dick’s Sporting Goods launched the Chelsea Collective earlier this month in the Washington, D.C., area with merchandise and apparel geared for women. A second shop was set to open in Pittsburgh last week. Shoppers will have a range of complimentary services, including free alterations on items purchased from the store, an analysis of their running stride, and bra fittings.

Blazers plan Rip City Relay
A team of Portland Trail Blazers ambassadors and staff will embark on their third annual Rip City Relay next month. This year, Klamath Falls, Ore., will mark the starting line for the weeklong relay, and participants will visit Medford, Roseburg, Albany and Woodburn as the relay team moves along the I-5 corridor back to Portland.

Fan Deck opens at CenturyLink Field

The Seattle Seahawks and Toyota officially debuted the Toyota Fan Deck at CenturyLink Field. The fan deck will add 1,000 padded seats to the south end upper deck at the stadium.

Spurs sign formal wear partner
Tottenham Hotspur named Aquascutum its new formal wear partner for the next three years. The brand will provide tailored suits to the club’s first team squad, coaching staff, management and board of directors.

Fulham, Fiat dealer renew contract
Motor Village UK renewed its contract with Fulham FC to become the club’s official car partner for the 2015-16 season. The one-year extension means that Fiat’s flagship London dealer will continue to supply Fulham with corporate shuttles and vehicles for the club’s player care and academy departments.

MUNICH
Team, Deutsche Telekom extend
Bayern Munich and Deutsche Telekom agreed to an early contract extension of their main and shirt sponsorship deal, according to a Sponsors report. The German telecom will stay on as the team’s shirt sponsor through 2022-23.

RECIFE, BRAZIL
Police raid World Cup stadium
Police raided a stadium in Recife and other offices around Brazil as part of an investigation into fraud in contracting for the Arena Pernambuco, according to a Reuters report. Police said that contracts for the stadium were overpriced by as much as $12.26 million in 2010.

AS Roma bets on shirt sponsor
Serie A club AS Roma named Sisal Matchpoint as its new top sponsor for the 2015-16 season, according to a SoccerEx report. The sports betting company will receive visibility at Olympic Stadium.

TOKYO
Designer sorry for logo similarities
The designer of Tokyo’s 2020 Olympics logo apologized after admitting that his team traced the designs used for a Suntory promotional campaign, according to an AFP report. Suntory Holdings announced it will cancel tote bag giveaways featuring designs by Kenjiro Sano.
