MLB promoted Kathleen Torres to executive vice president of finance, Steven Gonzalez to senior vice president and deputy general counsel of labor and human resources and Bernadette McDonald to senior vice president of broadcasting.

The Chicago White Sox promoted Moira Foy to vice president of human resources and risk management, Christine O’Reilly to vice president of community relations and executive director of Chicago White Sox Charities and Bill Waters to vice president of finance.

The Los Angeles Dodgers promoted Lorenzo Sciarrino to vice president of corporate partnerships.

FRANKS
The Class AAA Pacific Coast League’s Fresno Grizzlies promoted Derek Franks to general manager, Jerry James to assistant general manager, Sam Hansen to director of marketing, Whitney Campbell to community fund director and Ryan Young to communications and marketing manager.

Basketball
The Milwaukee Bucks hired Keith Doughty and Wes Warne as sales development managers and Jeff Lesko as new business manager.

The Minnesota Timberwolves promoted Tory Hopkins to account representative for season memberships.

Colleges
Plymouth State University Athletic Director John Clark will step down this summer and move into the role of founding manager of the university’s Active Living, Learning and Wellness North facility.

Syracuse University Athletic Director Daryl Gross stepped down and will serve as vice president and special assistant to the chancellor, and an adjunct professor in the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics.

David Berst, NCAA vice president for Division I governance, will retire this summer. Kevin Lennon, vice president for academic and membership affairs, will replace Berst, effective April 6, and Diane Dickman will become managing director of Division I governance.

Beth Miller, University of North Carolina senior associate athletic director and senior woman administrator, will retire, effective July 1.

Penn State promoted Charmelle Green to senior associate athletic director for student athlete performance, health and welfare and senior woman administrator, and Rick Kaluza to senior associate athletic director for finance and business operations. Additional title changes include Dave Baker, associate athletic director for business operations; Jan Bortner, associate athletic director for student-athlete success; Tim Bream; assistant athletic director for sport performance; Dwight Galt, assistant athletic director for strength and conditioning; Jim Nachtman, assistant athletic director for media and video production; Jeff Nelson, associate athletic director for strategic communications; Stephanie Petulla, assistant athletic director for creative services and brand management; Jay Takach, assistant athletic director for equipment services; and Mark Wharton associate athletic director for development.

Austin Peay State University Athletic Director Derek van der Merwe will step down after being named the university’s vice president for advancement, communication and strategic initiatives.

The Eastern College Athletic Conference promoted Drew Brown to senior vice president and chief of staff.

Patriot League Executive Director Carolyn Schlie Femovich will step down, effective July 31.

The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse named Kim Blum athletic director.

Willamette University named Valerie Cleary athletic director. Cleary was senior associate athletic director and senior woman administrator at Portland State University.

Facilities
AEG Facilities hired Jason Hull as director of sales, meetings and conventions. Hull was West Coast account director of group and entertainment sales for Starwood Hotels and Resorts.

Memphis International Raceway hired Tony Lofton as director of corporate partnerships and Jessica Howe as a sales representative.

Football

BIENERT
The Miami Dolphins hired Nicole Bienert as vice president of partnership activation and retention. Bienert was senior director of team marketing and business operations for the NBA.

The Tennessee Titans promoted Brent Akers to director of team operations and Shereme Siewnarine to director of finance and hired Brooke Ellenberger as vice president of ticketing and Amber Harding as social media coordinator. President and Chief Executive Officer Tommy Smith is retiring.

Golf
The National Golf Course Owners Association named Matt Brown executive director of the North Carolina chapter.

Hockey

VINCI
The Columbus Blue Jackets promoted Doug Vinci to corporate development account executive and hired Heather Benintendi as accounts payable coordinator and Keely O’Brien as ticket sales coordinator.

Horse Racing
The National Thoroughbred Racing Association named Steve Koch executive director of the NTRA Safety and Integrity Alliance. Koch was vice president of thoroughbred racing for the Woodbine Entertainment Group.

Marketing

FLACKS
Property Consulting Group promoted Casey Flacks to manager of innovation and Kevin Nuppnau to manager of partnerships with a focus on Allstate Arena.

Urban Sports and Entertainment Group named Chuck Morrison to its senior management team. Morrison was executive vice president and general manager of client services for the UniWorld Group.

Collegiate Consulting named Whitney Goulish director of ticket sales for the Atlantic League’s York Revolution.

U/S Sports Advisors promoted Ronda Hite to vice president of strategy and planning.

Advantage International hired Parker Neiman, Jennifer Zandlo and Ally Zimmerman as account executives.

Competitor Group promoted Josh Furlow to president and hired Wendy Godoy as chief administrative officer and chief financial officer. Godoy was senior vice president and chief financial officer for Terramar Retail Centers.

Denver Sports Properties hired Drew Trujillo as an account executive. Trujillo was a corporate sales executive for the Class AAA Pacific Coast League’s Colorado Springs Sky Sox.

GlideSlope hired Tori Stevens as chief strategist and Rod Davis as head of client development.

Havas Sports & Entertainment promoted Fredda Hurwitz to global chief strategy officer and hired Thiago Bersou as global creative planning director. Bersou was head of brand content for Aurora Media Worldwide.

Octagon hired Alice Christie as an account director and James Knott as a senior account manager.

Pitch International named Guy Le Grew head of North America in the company’s new New York office and Tammie Tsang head of Asia-Pacific.

Knox Sports hired Jack Mannes and Erin O’Leary as account executives.

Fútbol de Primera hired Sebastian Trujillo as president of sales and business development. Trujillo was vice president of business development for Univision Communications.

Multiteam Companies
Miller Sports Properties named Steve Starks president. Starks will continue his roles as president of Miller Retail Properties and executive vice president of Larry H. Miller Management Corp.

Sporting Goods and Apparel
Tom Ramsden, Adidas Football’s global brand marketing director, left the company.

Other
Steel Sports hired David Shapiro as president and chief executive officer. Shapiro was chief revenue officer for Positive Coaching Alliance.

Tough Mudder hired Donna Goldsmith as vice president of consumer products.

Awards and Boards
The U.S. Olympic Committee named to its board of directors Daniel Doctoroff, former Bloomberg LP chief executive officer; Steve Mesler, three-time Olympian and Classroom Champions president and chief executive officer; and Kevin White, Duke University vice president and athletic director.

Columbia Sportswear named Malia Wasson, former U.S. Bank president of Oregon and Southwest Washington, to its board of directors.

IRG Sports & Entertainment named John Hill to its board of directors as managing director.

Loton Corp. named Steve Bornstein, former NFL executive vice president of media, to its advisory board.
