Conferences team up for symposium

Big East Commissioner Val Ackerman and Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany co-hosted a Women’s Sports Leadership Symposium on March 7 in Rosemont, Ill., in connection with both conference women’s basketball tournaments being played in the Chicago suburbs: DePaul’s Jean Lenti Ponsetto, the Chicago Red Stars’ Alyse LaHue, the Chicago Sky’s Pokey Chatman, Ackerman, Rutgers’ Julie Hermann, Fox Sports’ Judy Boyd, Big Ten Network’s Lya Vallat and the Big East Digital Network’s Patricia Babcock McGraw, who served as moderator.
