What I Do: Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business and company performance.
Where I'm From: New Englander through and through. Grew up in Swampscott, Mass., and currently reside in Brookline, Mass.
Where I Went to School: Bachelor of arts and science, University of Vermont.
My First Job: Boston Celtics intern (aka Red Auerbach’s chauffeur).

A sports event: The Masters. No other sports event is held in such reverence by its competitors.

A strategy: Associate your business with other “best-of-class” businesses.

A brand: Dunkin’ Donuts.

A trend: The proliferation of daily fantasy sports companies.

An innovation: Wearable technology.

A pro league or team business initiative: The NBA’s initiatives around virtual reality.

What I like about …

Sports business: The doors that it opens to boardrooms at the largest companies in the world.

Sports technology: The unmatched viewing experience that it provides.

The future of sports business: Broad-based adoption of corporate branding on team uniforms.

Competing: It’s cliché, but it causes you to bring out the best in your game. Fosters a culture of creativity and innovation.

What I would like to …

Change in what I do: Not much. I have a great job.

See more of in sports: Acts of sportsmanship. The trickle-down effect at the youth level will be powerful.

See less of in sports: Athletes complaining to officials.

See less of in sports business: Commercial interruptions.


What I don’t like …

In general: Know-it-alls. Stay clear of anyone that contends to be one.

Pet peeve: People who take themselves way too seriously.
