Baseball
The MLB Players Association named Omar Minaya a special adviser to the executive director. Minaya was senior vice president of baseball operations for the San Diego Padres.

ARTHUR
The Class AAA Pacific Coast League’s Nashville Sounds named Garry Arthur chief operating officer.

The Baltimore Orioles hired Jim Misudek as manager of media relations and Nick Kistler as an account executive of corporate partnership sales. Misudek was media relations coordinator for the Atlanta Braves, and Kistler was a sponsorship account executive for Learfield Sports’ Clemson Tiger Sports Properties.

Basketball
The Cleveland Cavaliers hired Alberta Lee as vice president of human resources. Lee was chief administrator of human resources at Monroe Community College in Rochester, N.Y.

Colleges
Abilene Christian University hired Dave Kinard as associate athletic director for external operations. Kinard was associate athletic director and executive director of the Bronco Athletic Association at Boise State University.

ALLEN
COX
James Madison University hired Meredith Cox as assistant director of development and Bryan Allen as assistant athletic director for major gifts. Cox was manager of athletics development at Bucknell University, and Allen was director of athletics development at the University of Cincinnati.

UC Santa Barbara named John McCutcheon athletic director. McCutcheon was athletic director at the University of Massachusetts.

The University of South Carolina promoted Steve Eigenbrot to associate athletic director for development.

The University of Washington hired Libby Johnson and Michelle Mrkota as assistant directors of ticket services.

Finance
Pro Financial Services hired former NFL player Nick Greisen as director of business development.

Football
The Oakland Raiders promoted Marc Badain to president.

The NFL named former player Roman Oben director of youth football.

The Chicago Bears hired Josh Lucas as director of player personnel. Lucas was a scout for the New Orleans Saints.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers hired Brian Killingsworth as chief marketing officer. Killingsworth was vice president of marketing and brand strategy for the St. Louis Rams.

WALLS
The Miami Dolphins promoted Jeremy Walls to senior vice president and chief marketing officer, and Jason Jenkins to senior vice president of communications and community affairs, and hired Todd Kline as senior vice president and chief commercial officer. Kline was senior vice president of partnership and media sales for AEG Global Partnerships.

Soccer
The Houston Dynamo hired Amber Cox as vice president and chief marketing officer. Cox was associate commissioner for women’s basketball for the Big East Conference.

MOORE
US Youth Soccer named Chris Moore chief executive officer. Moore was president and chief operating officer for the GenYouth Foundation.

Orlando City Soccer Club named Alex Leitão chief executive officer. Leitão was president of Octagon Latin America.

Sports Commissions and Tourism Boards
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo named Thomas Hoover chairman of the New York State Athletic Commission.

Tennis
The International Tennis Hall of Fame and Museum hired Stu Upson as chief operating officer. Upson was executive director for the U.S. Bowling Congress.

Other
Paciolan hired Dima Volovik as chief technology officer. Volovik was chief technology officer for Fandango.

Awards and Boards
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers named Kenny Boyce, Bill Baines, Chris Lorenc, Dayna Spiring and Jamie Wilson to their board of directors.
