Baseball
The Atlanta Braves hired Chad MacDonald as special assistant to the general manager. MacDonald was vice president and assistant general manager of player personnel for the San Diego Padres.

The Baltimore Orioles hired Kristen Hudak as director of public relations. Hudak was a senior publicist for ESPN.

The Chicago Cubs named Ryan Dempster a special assistant to the team president and general manager.

The Los Angeles Dodgers hired Nick Francona as assistant director of player development. Francona was coordinator of major league player information for the Los Angeles Angels.

The New York Mets hired Chris Zaber as vice president of ticket sales and services. Zaber was senior director of ticket sales and services for the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Pittsburgh Pirates named Grady Little a senior adviser and Kevin Young a special assistant to the baseball operations staff.

Basketball
The Atlanta Hawks and Philips Arena hired Nzinga Shaw as chief diversity and inclusion officer. Shaw was senior vice president of diversity and inclusion for Edelman.

College
The Collegiate Water Polo Association hired Katie Wieber as director of membership services.

The College of Charleston hired T.J. Isaacs as associate athletic director of development and external affairs. Isaacs was director of major gifts for the Sun Devil Club at Arizona State University.

Marshall University promoted William Timpano to assistant compliance director.

The University of Georgia hired Andy Platt as senior associate athletic director and chief financial officer. Platt was senior associate athletic director at Rice University.

The University of Miami hired Jason Layton as senior associate athletic director for communications and sales. Layton was senior associate athletic director for sales and marketing at Colorado State University.

The University of Texas-San Antonio named Kevin Terry senior associate athletic director for business and chief financial officer. Terry was an associate athletic director at Florida A&M.

The University of Utah promoted Kyle Brennan to deputy athletic director.

Washington University in St. Louis hired Sara Burton as associate athletic director for varsity programs and senior woman administrator. Nancy Fahey will add the role of senior assistant to the athletic director to her current position as women’s basketball coach.

The West Coast Conference hired Aaron Woliczko as associate commissioner for men’s basketball and sport administration.

Sonoma Raceway promoted Diana Brennan to vice president of media and community relations.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders promoted Craig Reynolds to president and chief executive officer.

Spurs Sports & Entertainment named Mike Malo vice president of marketing and branding. He was senior vice president and chief marketing officer for the Columbus Crew SC.

Byron Adams Jr. left his position as senior adviser to Under Armour Chairman and CEO Kevin Plank but will remain on the board of directors.

Britton Gallagher’s professional athletes and entertainers insurance solutions practice hired Stacey Richards as a client consultant.

The Kontinental Hockey League named Dmitry Chernyshenko president.
