Roberts made history this year when she became the first woman elected to run a major sports union in North America, and she’s already made waves with comments about the NBA’s new $24 billion media-rights deal and whether player salaries should be capped. She will lead the NBA players through a number of important decisions in the next year, including whether they will opt out of the current collective-bargaining agreement in 2016.
