Baseball
The Class A Midwest League’s Fort Wayne (Ind.) TinCaps promoted Tara Cahill to community engagement and promotions manager and named Dalton McGill ticket account manager and John Nolan broadcast and media relations manager.

The Arizona Diamondbacks named J.J. Putz as the special assistant to President and Chief Executive Officer Derrick Hall.

The San Diego Padres promoted Mark Conner to director of scouting.

Minor League Baseball named Jeff Lantz director of communications. Lantz was manager of media relations for the Baltimore Orioles.

The Los Angeles Dodgers named Farhan Zaidi general manager and Josh Byrnes senior vice president of baseball operations.

Basketball
The Philadelphia 76ers named Sachin Gupta vice president of basketball operations and Ben Falk vice president of basketball strategy. They also promoted Vince Rozman to director of basketball operations and scouting innovations, Phil Jabour to director of scouting development and Danny Mills to international scout.

The Atlanta Hawks named Kristen Rose vice president of corporate partnerships and business development. Rose was IMG Sports Marketing general manager for Georgia Tech.

Loyola University of Chicago named Steve Watson athletic director. Watson was athletic director at St. Bonaventure University.

The Houston Super Bowl Host Committee named Sallie Sargent president and chief executive officer.

The PGA of America named Jeffrey Hintz tournament director of the 2016 Ryder Cup. Hintz was championship director for the 2014 Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid.

The Toronto Maple Leafs named Scott McNaughton senior manager of media relations. McNaughton was director of communications for the Canadian Football League’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

The Los Angeles Kings hired Kate Archer as production and content coordinator.

Richard Childress Racing hired Jason Golden in business development.

The Colorado Rapids named Padraig Smith sporting director. He was UEFA financial analysis manager.

Lululemon named Duke Stump executive vice president of community and brand, effective Dec. 1.

Ken Hicks will retire as president and chief executive officer of Foot Locker on Dec. 1, but will continue as executive chairman through May. Dick Johnson will become president and chief executive officer.

Under Armour named Henry Stafford chief merchandising officer, Matthew Mirchin North America president and Adam Peake executive vice president of global marketing.

Sports Commissions and Tourism Boards
The L.A. Sports Council named Tom Ludt and David Ulich to the board of directors. Ludt is president of Santa Anita Park, and Ulich is president of the Foundation for Global Sports Development.

Tennis
The U.S. Tennis Association named Erin Mazurek
tournament director for the ATP Memphis Open. Mazurek was tournament director for the Dow Corning Tennis Classic.

The WTA named Micky Lawler president, effective Jan. 1. Lawler is managing director of tennis and global initiatives for Octagon.

Other
Major League Lacrosse’s Ohio Machine promoted Gregg Klein to vice president of business operations.

The Aspen Skiing Co. promoted David Perry to chief operating officer and Jim Laing to chief human resources officer and gave Matt Jones the additional title of chief information officer. Rana Dershowitz was named chief legal counsel and John Lilley chief technology officer.

Netball New Zealand named Steve Lancaster head of high performance.

Awards and Boards
Francisco Aguilar was elected Nevada State Athletic Commission chair for a second one-year term.

Dr. David Cookson will receive the 2015 Joe Dey Award from the U.S. Golf Association. Cookson has served as a rules official for nearly 90 USGA championships.
