Baseball
The Lakewood BlueClaws of the Class A South Atlantic League named Adam Lorber the club’s chief operating and revenue officer.

The Class AAA Pacific Coast League’s Sacramento River Cats promoted Jeff Savage to president and Chip Maxson to general manager.

Colleges
Purdue University promoted Steve Simmerman to senior associate athletic director for facilities, Tom Schott to senior associate athletic director for communications and Paul Sadler to creative services manager.

The University of Evansville named Mark Spencer athletic director. Spencer was senior associate athletic director for finance and business affairs at Oregon State University.

Northwestern State University named Haley Blount assistant athletic director for development and marketing. Blount was the school’s executive director for the alumni association and associate director of alumni affairs.

Marquette University hired Bill Scholl as vice president and athletic director. Scholl was athletic director at Ball State University.

The University of Washington hired Jonathan Garfunkel as director of ticket sales. Garfunkel was general manager of ticket sales for IMG College at Georgia State University.

Carroll College named Curt Apsey athletic director. Apsey was senior associate athletic director at Boise State University.

The University of Maryland named former men’s basketball coach Gary Williams senior managing director for alumni relations and athletic development.

The University of Maryland named Kristen Brown associate athletic director for sports administration. She was director of basketball administration for the American Athletic Conference.

The University of Connecticut promoted Mike Morrison to UConn Foundation senior director of development for athletics.

San Diego State University promoted Bobby Smitheran to associate athletic director of student-athlete academic support services.

The Rochester Institute of Technology promoted Jeff Siegel to assistant athletic director for intercollegiate athletics and ice hockey operations.

Facilities
The Cobo Center in Detroit named Greg DeSandy director of sales.

AEG named Marie Lindqvist general manager for Stockholm Globe Arenas. Lindqvist was director of marketing at Kuoni Nordic/Apollo.

Atlanta Motor Speedway promoted Brandon Hutchison to assistant general manager and Allison Fillmore to executive director of sales.

Hockey
The NHL named Stephane Quintal senior vice president of player safety.

Hockey Canada hired Misha Donskov as manager of hockey operations, analytics and video. Donskov was assistant general manager for the Ontario Hockey League Ottawa 67s.

The Arizona Coyotes named Gregg Olson chief financial officer. Olson was regional vice president for SMG.

The American Hockey League’s Syracuse Crunch promoted Stephen Fiorella to senior director of new business development and special events.

Marketing
IMG hired Karen Brodkin as president of business affairs. Brodkin was executive vice president of business and legal affairs for Fox Sports.

GlideSlope hired Nick Lawrie as insights director. Lawrie worked with Q5 Partners.

Genesco Sports Enterprises promoted Katie Powell to senior director of client services and Ashley Nieman to senior manager of college sports, both for the MillerCoors account.

ESPN promoted Marie Donoghue to executive vice president of global strategy and original content.

Pac-12 Networks hired Nicole Howerton as director of integrated marketing and sales. Howerton was director of corporate partnership sales for the New Orleans Pelicans.

Awards and Boards
Northwestern University named to its board of trustees Michael Reinsdorf, Chicago Bulls president and chief operating officer; Mark Walter, Los Angeles Dodgers chairman; and Michael Wilbon, ESPN television host and columnist.
