Baseball
MLB hired Bryan Seeley as vice president of investigations and deputy general counsel. Seeley was an assistant U.S. attorney in Washington, D.C.

The Class AAA Pacific Coast League’s Round Rock Express named Jay Miller president. Miller replaces Dave Fendrick, who retired after 15 years with the organization.

The Texas Collegiate League’s Brazos Valley Bombers named Colby Street assistant general manager, Kelsey Smith community development director and Cody Box operations manager.

Basketball
The International Basketball Federation elected Horacio Muratore, FIBA Americas president, as president and Jim Tooley, USA Basketball chief executive officer and executive director, to its central board.

The Indiana Pacers hired Carl Daniels as vice president of player relations. Daniels was director of team services for Adidas’ sports licensed division.

Colleges
The American Athletic Conference hired Andrea Smith as senior director of compliance. Smith was associate director of compliance at the University of Minnesota.

PECK
The University of Denver promoted Ryan Peck to associate vice chancellor for external affairs.

The College of the Holy Cross named Bill Ball director of athletics ticket sales and operations.

Gannon University named Lisa Goddard McGuirk athletic director. McGuirk was athletic director at Cedar Crest College.

The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics promoted Katie Newman to senior manager of affiliate associations and Erin Dengler to manager of communications, and enhanced the roles of assistant executive director Julie Work and associate executive director for external operations Chris Green.

Portland State University Athletic Director Michael “Torre” Chisholm is stepping down from his position, effective Oct. 31.

MARROCHELLO
Boston University promoted Drew Marrochello to athletic director.

Georgia Tech hired Brett Daniels as deputy athletic director. Daniels was senior director of corporate communications and brand management for the Dallas Cowboys.

Presentation College named Greg Heier athletic director. Heier was athletic director at Doane College.

SIMPSON
Loyola University New Orleans promoted Brett Simpson to director of athletics and wellness.

Wells College named Michael Lindberg athletic director. Lindberg was associate athletic director at Ithaca College.

University of Arkansas-Little Rock Athletic Director Chris Peterson
resigned.

Facilities
AEG and Staples Center promoted Jen Sandstrom to vice president of event services, Cara Vanderhook to senior director of communications and social media, David Valdez to assistant manager of marketing, Jim Kelly to director of guest services, Steven Sanchez to manager of security, Wendy Funes to director of event booking and special services and Allison Wright to senior director of marketing and promotions. Matt Doisher was hired as an event manager and Evan Gole as marketing and communications coordinator.

The Miami Dolphins named NFL hall of famer Dan Marino as a special adviser.

The American Hockey League’s Syracuse Crunch promoted Jonathan Smaldon to senior account executive and Alicia Priest to Crunch Foundation and fan development manager. The team hired Mike Kelly as a senior account executive, Andrea Marino as sponsorship services manager and Jan Stransky as an account executive.

The American Hockey League’s Providence (R.I.) Bruins named Don Sweeney general manager. Sweeney is assistant general manager for the Boston Bruins.

Hand Baldachin and Amburgey named Jennifer Pogorelec O’Sullivan a partner in the firm’s sports and entertainment practice group. O’Sullivan was general counsel for RSE Ventures and is the former chief executive officer and commissioner for Women’s Professional Soccer.

Advantage International hired Adam Cooper as director of creative strategy in its Los Angeles office and Polly Akers as an account director in its Norwalk, Conn., office. Cooper was a senior strategic planner for Conill/Saatchi & Saatchi, and Akers was an account supervisor for TraceyLocke.

Octagon account director Chris Madigan left the agency.

The Aspire Group promoted Matt Lanier to team leader and Jessica Martin to senior sales consultant at Georgia Tech, and hired Mino Solomon as director of sales and service and Max Kozinn as manager of ticket sales at the University of Texas.

CBS Radio promoted Mike Thomas to vice president of sports programming.

Tremor Video hired Manish Jha as president of publisher platforms. Jha was general manager of mobile for the NFL.

Michael Schreck stepped down at Westwood One senior vice president, director corporate sports.

Infiniti hired Tommaso Volpe as Formula One global director. Volpe was head of marketing and retail merchandising for Lotus Cars UK.

Sporting Goods and Apparel
TaylorMade-Adidas Golf hired Jeff Lienhart as executive vice president for Adidas Golf and Ashworth. Lienhart was vice president of global business development for Hillerich & Bradsby.

Other
The Texas Sports Hall of Fame hired Jared Mosley as chief executive officer and president. Mosley was athletic director at Abilene Christian University.

Harvey Schiller was named commercial commissioner for the 35th America’s Cup.
