Baseball
The San Diego Padres hired Don Welke as vice president of scouting operations. Welke was a senior special assistant for the Texas Rangers.

DEHART
The Tampa Bay Rays hired Drew DeHart as manager of corporate partnerships. DeHart was associate general manager for IMG College at the University of Oregon.

Basketball
Palace Sports & Entertainment and the Detroit Pistons promoted Chris Quinn to senior vice president of business development and Mike Donnay to vice president of brand networks.

Colleges
The University of Wisconsin promoted Chad Kimmel to assistant athletic director for development.

The Citadel hired Jim Senter as athletic director. Senter was senior associate athletic director for external operations at the University of Colorado.

East Carolina University hired Jason Steinberg as director of ticket operations. Steinberg was associate director of ticket operations at the University of North Carolina.

The Atlantic Sun Conference promoted Sherri Booker to executive associate commissioner, John Roberts to assistant commissioner for championships and operations, Patrick McCoy to assistant commissioner for media relations and Keith Hendrix to director of championships. The conference hired Meredith Eaker as associate commissioner for sports administration, Johannes Schneider as coordinator of media relations and Adam Obringer as assistant director of media relations.

Chicago State University hired Denisha Hendricks as athletic director. Hendricks was athletic director at Kentucky State University.

Iona College promoted Chris Merce to assistant athletic director for academic services.

Louisiana Tech University hired Marco Born as senior associate athletic director for external operations. Born was an associate athletic director at Middle Tennessee State University.

Northern Illinois University hired Jerome Rodgers as senior associate athletic director for compliance and administration. Rodgers was associate athletic director for compliance at Georgia Tech.

Paine College promoted Selina Kohn to athletic director.

The University of Missouri promoted Ashley Moore to senior director of external engagement.

The University of Arkansas hired Chris Freet as senior associate athletic director for external operations and strategic communications. Freet was senior associate athletic director for communications, marketing and ticket sales at the University of Miami.

The University of Delaware hired Jason Cichowicz as assistant athletic director for ticketing operations. Cichowicz was athletic ticket manager at Lafayette College.

The University of Waterloo hired Roly Webster as athletic director. Webster was executive director and chief operating officer for the student union at Wilfrid Laurier University.

UCLA promoted Petrina Long to executive associate athletic director, in addition to her role as senior woman administrator.

Butch Worley stepped down from the position of deputy director of men’s athletics at the University of Texas.

Virginia Tech hired Carly Northup as assistant athletic director of external engagement and Matthew Mayotte as director of student-athlete academic support services. Northup was assistant athletic director of external engagement at the University of Missouri, and Mayotte was director of student-athlete services at Troy University.

West Virginia University Athletic Director Oliver Luck added the title of associate vice president for the university.

Facilities

QUIJANO
Ephesus Lighting hired Mike Quijano as director of sales and business development. Quijano was a regional technical manager and optics engineer for Future Electronics.

Memphis International Raceway promoted Sharon Nix to director of food, beverage and facilities.

Football
The NFL Media sales team promoted Ben Simonds to sales director.

Golf

CROSS
The PGA of America promoted Sandy Cross to senior director of diversity and inclusion.

Hockey
The Buffalo Sabres named Kevin Devine director of player personnel and Jason Long coordinator of player development.

The St. Louis Blues promoted Phil Siddle to group vice president and chief financial officer and Jay Roberts to group vice president for building operations and booking, and hired Jeff Ajluni as group vice president for corporate partnerships and community development and Josh Bender as group vice president for ticketing and guest experience.

The Toronto Maple Leafs hired Brandon Pridham as assistant to the general manager. Pridham was senior director of central registry and senior adviser for central scouting for the NHL.

Law

LANGWELL
LEE
Garvey Schubert Barer named Eugene Lee of counsel in its New York office. Lee will also join the firm’s sports and entertainment group.

Marketing
Intersport hired Jason Langwell as a senior vice president in its sponsorship and event marketing division and Greg Alm as vice president of strategic partnerships. Langwell was senior vice president of sports and entertainment for Erwin Penland, and Alm was with customer marketing and sales for ESPN.

Media
ESPN promoted Stephanie Druley to senior vice president of production for college networks.

LANGER
Tennis Channel hired Jeremy Langer as vice president of programming. Langer was vice president of collegiate sports and rights acquisitions for Fox Sports Media Group.

Motorsports
NASCAR added the duties of leading the company’s operations at NASCAR Plaza to Steve Phelps, executive vice president and chief marketing officer, and named Steve O’Donnell executive vice president and chief racing development officer, with leadership of NASCAR’s Research and Development Center. Phelps and O’Donnell will work in the Charlotte area after being based in Daytona Beach, Fla. Gene Stefanyshyn was promoted to senior vice president of innovation and racing development and Robin Pemberton to senior vice president of competition. Tom Swindell was assigned to Concord, N.C., to work with O’Donnell on development projects.
 
Other
North American Sports Group named Bruce Fletcher director of business development, Jack Burger director of sports programming, Jamie Ramsey director of Texas and national activation, Mike Lambert director of Florida and sports programming, and Kim Dennis director of business development and event operations.

Soccer
The Columbus Crew hired Andy Loughnane as president of business operations, and named Mike Malo senior vice president and chief marketing officer and Clark Beacom vice president of ticket sales, services and operations.

Sporting Goods and Apparel
BRG Sports promoted Dan Arment to executive vice president and named him to the board of directors. Arment was also named president of Bell Cycling Products while retaining his role as president of Riddell Sports.

Fanatics hired Matt Madrigal as chief technology and product officer. Madrigal was senior vice president of ecommerce and marketing for Williams-Sonoma.

Nike promoted Heidi O’Neill to vice president and general manager of Nike Stores and Amy Montagne to vice president and general manager of Nike Women’s.

Wilson Sporting Goods named Nick Gonzales global marketing director and Tim Buwick U.S. promotions director for racket sports.

Other
LA Marathon hired Mark Scoggins as vice president of business development. Scoggins was chief revenue officer for the National Basketball Retired Players Association.

New York Road Runners named Peter Ciaccia chief production officer and Michael Capiraso chief operating officer.

The Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame on Dec. 16 will induct Ken Aagaard, Steve Bornstein, Bob Dixon, David Hill, George Orgera, Chris Schenkel and David Stern.

Stats Co-Chief Operating Officer Steve Byrd and Brian Kopp, senior vice president of sports solutions, both stepped down from their positions.

Awards and Boards
U.S. Bank NA named Bill Mudd, Churchill Downs executive vice president and chief financial officer, and Gary Ulmer, Louisville Bats president and chief executive officer, to the bank’s Louisville advisory board.
