Tod Rosensweig stepped down as vice president of corporate partnerships for the New Orleans Hornets.

The Brooklyn Nets named Jeff Gewirtz executive vice president of business affairs and chief legal officer for the Nets and Barclays Center, and promoted Travis Lee to creative director for the Nets and Barclays Center. Illiana Blackshear was promoted to hospitality and ticket administrator for Barclays Center. The Nets promoted Abner Neufeld to director of group and arena sales, Frank Sullivan to executive director of group and arena sales, Christine Bowns to director of VIP services, Jared Kaye to manager of financial analysis, Ben Couch to manager of interactive marketing, Darren Meyer to director of partnership marketing, JM Caparro to vice president of ticket sales and service and Adar Wellington to entertainment coordinator and dance team coach.

The Memphis Grizzlies and FedEx Forum named Toiaya Crawford corporate communications coordinator. Crawford handled event marketing and communications for the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

The Phoenix Suns hired Steve Albert as television play-by-play announcer.

Colleges
Virginia Commonwealth University hired Ed McLaughlin as athletic director. McLaughlin was athletic director at Niagara.

Jacksonville University named Brad Edwards athletic director. Edwards was athletic director at Newberry College.

Steve Dennis will step down as athletic director of Troy University on Sept. 30.

Facilities
Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course hired Michael Evranian as manager of business development.

Football
The Detriot Lions hired Elizabeth Parkinson as senior vice president of marketing and partnerships. Parkinson was senior vice president of marketing and communications for the Michigan Economic Development Corp.

The Symetra Tour’s Symetra Classic named Mike Fresina tournament director.

Hockey
The Toronto Maple Leafs hired Steve Staios as player development adviser. Staios was a defenseman for the New York Islanders.

Marketing
IEG Consulting Group named Michael Wright chief growth officer.

Media
NBC Sports Group named Dan Steir senior vice president of production and senior coordinating producer for NBC Sports and NBC Sports Network. Steir was senior coordinating producer for ESPN.

Fox Sports hired Eddie George and Joey Harrington as analysts for the Fox college football studio team.

NESN hired Joseph Maar as vice president of programming and production and executive producer.

Comcast SportsNet promoted Rebecca O’Sullivan Schulte to president of CSN Mid-Atlantic, Ted Griggs to president of CSN Bay Area and Brian Monihan to president of CSN Philadelphia. At CSN Houston, Timothy “Murphy” Brown was named vice president of production and executive producer, Joseph Ward vice president of operations and engineering, Helen Wilson vice president of marketing, Gerald “Doug” Lyles II vice president of advertising sales, Jim Colasanto senior director of advertising sales and Donna White vice president of finance and human resources. Dave Feldman was named anchor and reporter at CSN Bay Area.

Outside Television named Christopher Crowley executive producer.

Running shoe company On named Jonathan Cook, John Jeub, Amy Johnson, Jon Madsen, Cyle Sage and Max Smith to its sales force.

The U.S. Tennis Association hired F. Skip Gilbert as managing director of professional tennis operations and U.S. Open tournament manager. Gilbert was chief business officer for PSA.

The Kay Yow Cancer Fund named Nora Lynn Finch, ACC associate commissioner for women’s basketball operations and senior woman administrator, president and Sherri Coale, Coquese Washington and Carol Stiff to its board of directors, effective Sept. 1.

Carraro
WWE hired Tara Carraro as vice president of corporate communications. Carraro was senior director of corporate communications at Heineken USA.

Tickets.com named Jennifer Zick vice president of business development.

L&S Advisors hired Jonathan Drubner as associate director. Drubner was the head writer and producer for the ESPY Awards and host and producer of “ESPN Road Trip.”
