Basketball
The International Basketball Federation formed FIBA Media & Marketing Services and named Frank Leenders director general and Thomas Klooz as delegate to the board for the new subsidiary.

The Golden State Warriors promoted Kirk Lacob to assistant general manager.

Colleges
The Big Ten Conference named Steve Piotrowski coordinator of men’s ice hockey officials beginning after the 2012-13 season. Piotrowski will continue his role as the director of officials for the Central Collegiate Hockey Association during the 2012-13 season.

Concordia University Texas named Stan Bonewitz athletic director. Bonewitz will continue his role as men’s basketball coach.

Florida State University promoted Vanessa Fuchs to senior associate athletic director and senior woman administrator.

The University of Mary Washington named Ken Tyler athletic director. Tyler was athletic director at West Virginia Wesleyan College.

West Virginia Wesleyan College named Randy Tenney athletic director. Tenney will continue his role as baseball coach.

Case Western Reserve University promoted Karen Farrell to associate athletic director and senior woman administrator.

University of Montana Western Athletic Director Mark Durham will leave his position effective June 1.

Hofstra University named Jeff Hathaway vice president and athletic director. Acting Athletic Director Danny McCabe will remain on staff as executive associate athletic director. Hathaway was formerly athletic director at the University of Connecticut.

Facilities
New Hampshire Motor Speedway hired Gavin Faretra as communications manager. Faretra was a sportswriter for the Concord (N.H.) Monitor.

Phoenix International Raceway hired David Alvarez as communications manager. Alvarez was a product marketing manager for Universal Technical Institute.

Football
The president of the Canadian Football League’s Montreal Alouettes, Ray Lalonde, left the organization.

Hockey
Sunrise Sports & Entertainment hired Andria Nolan as executive director for the Florida Panthers Foundation. Nolan was director of development for Henderson Behavioral Health.

Horse Racing
The Breeders’ Cup’s senior vice president of sales, Carter Carnegie, left the company.

The New York Racing Association named Ellen McClain president and Kenneth Handal secretary.

Lacrosse
The Professional Lacrosse League hired Ryan Harrison as vice president of sales and marketing. Harrison was chief administrator for the All American Hockey League.

Parker
ESPN promoted Scott Parker to vice president of consumer marketing.

FanVision hired Sean O’Brien as senior vice president for motorsports for the U.S. O’Brien was director of sales and marketing for Diversitec.

Gannett named Larry Kramer president and publisher for USA Today. Kramer will be responsible for USA Today across all of its platforms, including the USA Today Sports Media Group.

Fox Networks promoted Sol Doten to vice president of communications and Bonnie O’Donnell and Jody Vogelaar to vice presidents of distribution marketing.

IMG College named Robert Ojeda business development manager; Doug Holtzman and Stacy Gordon regional sales directors for the Southeast; Greg Ellis general manager for the Horizon League; John Kuka general manager for the Ohio Valley Conference; Andrew Arem general manager of the ticket solutions division at the University of Tennessee; Mark Crepeau general manager for USF IMG Sports Marketing; Steve Klein general manager for Central Michigan IMG Sports Marketing; Mike Mitchell general manager for the Greensboro Coliseum Complex; Jeff Salisbury general manager for Wake Forest IMG Sports Marketing; Matt Siert general manager of the ticket solutions division at UC Davis; and Matthew Smith general manager of the ticket solutions division at UNLV.

MLB Network hired Chris Lee as director of sales for the Western region. Lee was sales and marketing director for the Western region for the Disney Channel.

MSG Media named David Clark executive vice president of integrated sales. Clark was general manager for Fuse.

Tennis Channel named Gary Lang vice president of production. Lang was producer for the NFL Network’s “Thursday Night Football.”

Loughnane
Palace Sports & Entertainment hired Andy Loughnane as vice president of corporate partnerships. Loughnane was the franchise lead for the Corporate Executive Board.

Soccer
The Chicago Fire promoted Brendan Hannan to director of communications.

The Columbus Crew hired Brett Zalaski as senior director of ticket sales and Allison Walker as ticket operations coordinator.

Sporting Goods and Apparel

Goodlake
Swiss shoe company On named Ted Goodlake national director of sales for North America. Goodlake was national sales manager for the complete running division for Puma, North America.

Cutter & Buck promoted Jake Rawson to global director of sales for golf.

Other
Witt/Kieffer named Greg Santore vice president and practice leader and Jennifer Biehn a search consultant for its sports leadership practice.

Kearney
Tatum promoted Christopher Kearney to managing partner for the central region.

Awards and Boards
Peter Hill, Billy Casper Golf chairman and chief executive officer, has been elected chairman of the National Golf Foundation board of directors.

The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association elected the following to its board of directors: Mary Beth Spirk, Kelly Graves, Kellie Harper, Kelly Komara, Lisa Mispley Fortier, Vic Schaefer and Dawn Staley, and Matthew Mitchell, Christy Thomaskutty and Toby Wynn were appointed to fill board positions. Beth Burns was elected to remain as secretary on the board’s executive committee.
