Baseball
The Boston Red Sox promoted Mike Hazen and Brian O’Halloran to vice president and assistant general manager; Allard Baird to vice president of player personnel; David Finley to director of player personnel; Zack Scott to director of major league operations; Raquel Ferreira to senior director of minor league operations; and Ben Crockett to director of player development.

The Los Angeles Angels named Matt Lentak assistant general manager. Lentak was director of baseball operations with the Baltimore Orioles.

The Baltimore Orioles named Gary Rajsich amateur scouting director.

The Chicago White Sox named Marco Paddy special assistant to the general manager for international operations. Paddy was director of Latin America operations for the Toronto Blue Jays.

Basketball
The National Basketball League of Canada named John Kennedy its first commissioner. Kennedy founded J. Kennedy & Associates.

The Minnesota Timberwolves named Aaron Seehusen public relations coordinator. Seehusen held the same position for the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx.

Colleges
Simon Fraser University named Milton Richards athletic director. Richards was the athletic director at California State University, Stanislaus.

The University of Illinois named Jason Lener executive senior associate athletic director. Lener was deputy athletic director at Miami University.

Eastern University named David Jones associate athletic director. Jones was baseball director of operations at Western Kentucky.

Facilities
Dynamo Stadium in Houston named Paul Byrne director of operations and Dennis Moynihan director of ticketing.

Darlington Raceway named Dennis Worden director of public relations. Worden was manager of public relations at Michigan International Speedway.

Hockey
The NHL named former player Stephane Quintal a manager in its department of player safety.

The American Hockey League’s Worcester (Mass.) Sharks promoted Michael Myers to senior director of business and community development.

Horse Racing
The National Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association named Phil Hanrahan chief executive.

Law
Foley & Lardner named partner Irwin Raij co-chair of its sports industry team.

Media
The National Football Post hired Steve Frost as chief executive officer. Frost was most recently at Plixi.

Sporting Goods and Apparel
Adidas named Tim Joyce executive vice president. Joyce was president of Fogdog.com.

Asics named Tracy Paoletti to vice president of sales, Patty Kelly to regional manager for the East territory and Mike Jensen to regional manager for the Central territory.

Sports Commissions and Tourism Boards
NYC & Co.’s sports marketing department, formerly known as the New York City Sports Commission, named Michael Hopper vice president, Jeff Mohl director, Evan Ely coordinator and Melissa Chiarchiaro project manager.

Other
ScoreBig.com hired Bill Ashton as vice president of music. Ashton was senior director of music services at Ticketmaster.

Brent Klaus, CEO of International Gymnastics Camp, started International Gymnastics Management Group. Victor Randazzo serves as vice president.

Corcoran
The Cybex Research Institute named Angela Corcoran director of education. Corcoran held a teaching fellow position at the Cybex Research Institute and was the principle educator and founder of Corcoran Fitness.

VZillion named Golden State Warriors coach Mark Jackson vice president of sports partnerships.

Awards and Boards
Phoenix Suns Charities named Deborah Bateman to its board of directors.

The Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission named Michelle Kerrick, managing partner of Deloitte’s L.A. office, to its advisory board.
