The Seattle Mariners hired Ted Simmons as senior adviser to the general manager. Simmons was bench coach with the San Diego Padres.
The Florida Marlins promoted Sean Flynn to senior vice president of marketing, Brendan Cunningham to senior vice president of sales and Andrew Silverman to senior vice president of sales and service.
The New York Mets named Paul DePodesta vice president of player development and amateur scouting. DePodesta was executive vice president for the San Diego Padres.
The Texas Rangers hired Todd Taylor as executive vice president of ticket sales and marketing. Taylor was vice president of consumer marketing for the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Class AAA Pacific Coast League’s Tucson (Ariz.) franchise hired Mike Feder as general manager. Feder was the Pima County Sports Tourism Authority’s executive director.
The Class A Midwest League’s Great Lakes (Mich.) Loons hired Marcelle Smith as account executive and Alex Wassel as communications manager.
The Class AAA Pacific Coast League’s Omaha (Neb.) Storm Chasers (formally the Royals) promoted Paul Hammes to director of ticket operations, Andrea Stava to senior ticket sales executive, James Jensen to baseball operations manager, Matt Bradwell to ticket sales executive and Drew Stauder to finance assistant. The Storm Chasers hired Mike Feigen to oversee media relations, Kaci Long in the ticket operations department, Ben Kratz in the sales department and Brett Myers as stadium operations manager.
The independent Golden Baseball League’s Calgary Vipers promoted Patrick Haas to general manager.
Army hired Jonathan Evans as deputy athletic director. Evans was associate athletic director at College of Charleston.
Clark University hired Sean Sullivan as director of athletics and recreation. Sullivan was the assistant dean of student affairs for athletics and recreation at York College.
Hampden-Sydney College appointed Richard Epperson athletic director.
AEG Facilities hired Josh Cooprider as director of partnership sales at KeyArena.
PGA of America elected Allen Wronowski as president, Ted Bishop as vice president and Derek Sprague as secretary.
The United States Golf Association hired Thomas Pagel as director, rules of golf. Pagel was executive director of the Utah Golf Association.
Tampa Bay Sports and Entertainment named Martha Fuller chief financial officer. Fuller was executive vice president and chief financial officer for Vulcan Inc.
The American Hockey League’s Providence (R.I.) Bruins hired John Gray as sales associate. Gray was marketing and social media specialist for Major League Lacrosse’s Boston Cannons.
