The Chicago Cubs created a corporate partnership group and promoted Sam Coghill to managing director of corporate partnerships. The team hired Michael Kirschner as a director of corporate partnerships. Kirschner was director of marketing partnerships for Madison Square Garden.
The Cleveland Indians promoted Mark Shapiro to president, Chris Antonetti to executive vice president and general manager, Mike Chernoff to assistant general manager, John Mirabelli to vice president of scouting operations, Ross Atkins vice president of player development and Andrew Miller to assistant to the president.
The Class AA Southern League’s Birmingham (Ala.) Barons moved Charlie Santiago to corporate event planner and hired Brandon Harms as a part of its ticket operations.
The Class A Carolina League’s Myrtle Beach (S.C.) Pelicans named Jen Borowski director of promotions and Chris Herath group sales manager.
The Class A California League’s Stockton (Calif.) Ports named Tim Pollack ticket manager. Pollack was an inside sales representative for the Class AAA Pacific Coast League’s Fresno (Calif.) Grizzlies.
The Mountain West Conference promoted Katie Cavender to director of new media and technology and named Marlon Edge assistant director of compliance and Gary Walenga director of special projects. The conference hired Judy Willson as associate director of communications and John Sullivan as championships coordinator.
Seton Hall University promoted Jamison Hannigan to associate athletic director for external affairs and Loren Peterson to assistant athletic director for business affairs, and hired Elizabeth Rathbun as creative coordinator and Dan Velez as assistant athletic director for facilities.
Towson University named Mike Waddell athletic director. Waddell was senior associate athletic director for external relations at the University of Cincinnati.
Billy Casper Golf promoted Nick Keefe to vice president of information technology.
ANC Sports Enterprises promoted Joe Morgan to controller and John Obropta to vice president of sales.
The Aspire Group named Erica Bledsoe and Sarah Emam ticket sales consultants at the Georgia Tech Fan Relationship Management Center.
Subway promoted Paul Bamundo to director of sports marketing and public relations.
Rodale hired David Tratner as director of communications for Runner’s World magazine.
The Boston Business Journal named Brian Robertson vice president of sales and marketing. Robertson was senior director of corporate partnerships for the Boston Celtics.
ISP Sports promoted Ashleigh Waddle to account executive for the Virginia Tech ISP Sports Network, and hired Mike Jones as associate general manager for the Razorback Sports Properties at the University of Arkansas, Katie Blouin as a marketing assistant for Gamecock Sports Properties at the University of South Carolina, Angie Ness as assistant general manager for the Sun Devil ISP Sports Network at Arizona State University, and Jigar Desai as conference business manager and Leslie Monteith as an accounting assistant at its corporate headquarters.
Learfield Sports promoted Bryant Bruce to account executive for Crimson Tide Sports Marketing, a joint venture between Learfield Sports and ISP Sports, at the University of Alabama, and named Drew DeHart account executive for Cowboy Sports Properties at Oklahoma State University and Emily Fisher account executive for MVC Sports Properties with the Missouri Valley Conference.
Monumental Sports and Entertainment named Melissa Rentz vice president of marketing for the Washington Wizards and Washington Mystics. Rentz was director of marketing for the Houston Texans and Lone Star Entertainment.
The San Jose Earthquakes promoted Michael Crowley to managing director and hired David Kaval as president. Kaval was chief executive officer, president and founder of the Golden Baseball League and Diamond Sports and Entertainment.
The Columbus Crew hired Chris Previte as vice president of corporate partnerships, Melanie Seiser as a season-ticket account executive and Michelle Weingarth as staff accountant.
The Chicago Fire named Julian Posada president. Posada was founder and president of Café Media.
The MLS expansion Portland Timbers named Brian Costello director of digital media, Kelsey Hough ticket services coordinator, David Renner senior accountant, Pat Rice group sales account executive, Kelly Salmieri senior manager of partner services, Tyler West manager of partner services and Chris Wilson director of ticket services.

Nfinity Athletic Corp. promoted Alex Mallen to western territory manager. Mallan was also recently named a professor of sports marketing at California Lutheran University.
Network Rail hired David Higgins as chief executive, effective Feb. 1. Higgins is chief executive of the Olympic Delivery Authority.
Stats LLC hired John Pollard as general manager for its Sports Solutions Group.
GU Energy Labs hired Reid Swanson as director of sales and Tory Jackson as business development manager. Swanson was director and project manager for Tri California Events, and Jackson was sales manager for the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

The International Tennis Federation named Dan Santorum, Professional Tennis Registry chief executive officer, the recipient of the ITF Service to the Game Award.
The South Asian Bar Association of New York named Bobby Sharma, NBA Development League vice president and general counsel, recipient of its 2010 Corporate Counsel Award.
