Learfield winners at NACDA convention
The 2009-10 Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup winners were recognized at the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics convention last month in Anaheim. Winning schools were awarded in all four divisions for college athletics. Harry on hand for vets, NYRR
Prince Harry of Wales joins New York Road Runners President and CEO Mary Wittenberg to start more than 6,000 runners at the NYRR’s eighth annual Achilles Hope & Possibility five-mile race in Central Park. As a member of the Achilles Freedom Team of Wounded Veterans, Harry walked the course side by side with recently wounded Iraq and Afghanistan veterans during the event June 27.

E&Y honors Grousbeck
Boston Celtics managing partner WycGrousbeck was honored with the New England 2010 Master Achievement Award at the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards gala. Ernst & Young Boston office managing partner Frank Mahoney (left) presented the award at the event June 24 at the Boston Renaissance Waterfront Hotel.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell addressed the league’s 2010 draft class at the NFL Rookie Symposium on June 27 at the La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
