The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim named Rod Carew an executive representative.
Auburn University named Scott Carr senior associate athletic director for external affairs. Carr was associate athletic director at the University of Southern Mississippi.
The Big East Conference named Pamela Flenke and Michael Gambardella communications assistants.
The Southern Conference promoted Jason Yaman to assistant commissioner for media relations and Brandon Neff to assistant commissioner for championships. The league hired Jamie Severns as director of multimedia services, Caroline Sanker as championships and operations assistant and JoAnne Cannell as media relations assistant.
Palm Beach International Raceway named Howard Wishner chief communications and marketing officer.
Pritchard Sports and Entertainment named Misty Ex-Yohannan director of business development. Ex-Yohannan was sales manager for Knight FM.
The ECHL promoted Joe Ernst to director of officiating and Mike Murray to manager of hockey operations.
The ECHL’s Kalamazoo (Mich.) Wings promoted Wade Welsh to vice president and general manager, and hired Dan Belisle as vice president of hockey operations.
The Pittsburgh Penguins named Tom Fitzgerald assistant to the general manager and promoted Dan MacKinnon to director of player personnel.
The American Hockey League’s Rochester Americans hired Ted Nolan as vice president of hockey operations.
The AHL’s Texas Stars hired Michael Gonzales as an account executive. Gonzales was ticket director for the CHL New Mexico Scorpions.
The National Lacrosse League’s Edmonton Rush named Derek Keenan general manager and head coach. Keenan was general manager and coach of the Portland LumberJax.
Arent Fox named Maidie Oliveau counsel in its Los Angeles office. Oliveau founded the Los Angeles-based firm LawSports.
Dow Lohnes Sports and Entertainment promoted Robert London II to vice president.
Just Marketing International hired Scott DuChene as senior director of design services.
Velocity Sports & Entertainment promoted David Marcello to senior manager and Sam Berg and Jessica Lauer to managers.
Falcon and Associates named Giselle Davies chief executive officer. Davies was director of communications for the International Olympic Committee. Falcon and Associates is designing a feasibility study for Dubai’s 2020 Olympic bid and the World Expo.
