Seminara Sports named Ed Herrmann director of West Coast recruitment.

The Houston Astros hired Gene Dias as director of media relations. Dias was director of community relations for the Philadelphia Phillies.

The San Francisco Giants promoted Bobby Evans to vice president of baseball operations and Jeremy Shelley to senior director of baseball operations and pro scouting.

Basketball

The NBA promoted Kathy Behrens to executive vice president of social responsibility and player programs and Mark Tatum to executive vice president of marketing partnerships.

The Heat Group hired Garrick Amos as vice president of season ticket services and retention.

Spurs Sports & Entertainment named Peter Lubell chief operating officer for the NBA Development League’s Austin (Texas) Toros. Lubell was vice president of strategic alliances for Raceway Media.

Colleges

The University of Cincinnati named Derrick Magee associate athletic director and chief business officer. Magee was assistant athletic director for finance and internal affairs at the University of the Pacific.

The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics promoted Bob Vecchione to deputy executive director.

Facilities

AEG promoted Lee Zeidman to senior vice president and general manager of L.A. Live. Zeidman will continue his role as general manager of Staples Center and Nokia Theatre L.A. Live.

Football

The Baltimore Ravens promoted Eric DeCosta to director of player personnel, Joe Hortiz to director of college scouting and Vincent Newsome to director of pro personnel.

The St. Louis Rams named Kevin Demoff executive vice president of football operations and chief operating officer. Demoff was a senior assistant to the general manager for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers promoted Doug Williams to coordinator of pro scouting.

Multiteam Companies

Cavaliers Operating Co. promoted Paul Bee to business development specialist; Marcin Rapacz to team shop manager; Dan Rosenthal to premium sales consultant; and Chris Schons, Cody Tomon and Brandy Yeoman to business development specialist, and named Demitris Bolling dance team assistant; Christopher Byndas manager of accounting; Sharon Caramell manager of arena events; Erin Champion intranet developer; Jason Sabatino manager of ticket office; Mike Tomon vice president of sales and service; Sezin Topak director of analytics; Dayna Williams-Hunter corporate sales executive; Hallie Yavitch senior director of events for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Pam Neroni was promoted to manager of marketing service for the American Hockey League’s Lake Erie (Ohio) Monsters.

Sunrise Sports & Entertainment promoted Matt Sacco to director of public relations, publishing and new media.

Soccer

Major League Soccer and Soccer United Marketing promoted Dustin Smith to senior accountant and named Thibault Chevillard senior design manager, Michele de Maria traffic coordinator, Melissa Gonzalez graphic designer and Oscar Oriondo as a staff accountant in the finance department.

The National Indoor Soccer League named David Grimaldi commissioner. Grimaldi was deputy commissioner for the former Major Indoor Soccer League.

Sporting Goods and Apparel

Street Surfing named James Nunziati vice president of sales and marketing. Nunziati was a strategic consultant for Fox Home Entertainment.

Other

Contemporary Services Corp. promoted Bruce Wagner to vice president of operations and named Judith Olsen director of convention services.

Merchandise agency Bensussen Deutsch and Associates named Rob Martin vice president of marketing alliances. Martin was chief marketing officer of Imagekind.

Ticketmaster promoted Dave Butler to president of Ticketmaster North America.

Awards and Boards

John Cardinale of Infineon Raceway was named NASCAR track public relations representative of the year.

Ticketmaster Entertainment named Irving Azoff, chief executive officer for Ticketmaster Entertainment, and Craig Jacobson to its board of directors.

Mike Benson, senior vice president of business affairs and treasurer for Kroenke Sports Enterprises, was named chairman of Visit Denver.
