The Cincinnati Reds hired Jerry Walker as special assistant for player personnel to president of baseball operations and general manager Walt Jocketty. Walker was vice president of player personnel for the St. Louis Cardinals.
The San Francisco Giants hired Jackson Wan as system administrator.
The Detroit Tigers named Ron Colangelo vice president of communications. Colangelo was managing director for Global Network Communications.
The Indiana Pacers named Sam Perkins vice president of player relations.
The Milwaukee Bucks named Billy McKinney director of scouting. McKinney was a radio analyst for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Russ Bookbinder resigned from his position as Spurs Sports & Entertainment executive vice president of business operations.
The NCAA named Gene McArtor national coordinator for baseball umpires. McArtor was a longtime baseball coach and athletic department administrator at the University of Missouri.
The Citadel named Larry Leckonby athletic director. Leckonby was senior associate athletic director and chief financial officer for the University of Maryland.
Wright State University promoted Bob Grant to athletic director.
Chuck Steedman was named senior vice president and general manager for Northland AEG’s future operations in Hartford, Conn., which includes management of the XL Center and Rentschler Field, and business operations of the American Hockey League’s Hartford Wolf Pack. Steedman was executive vice president of Fenway Sports Group and vice president of Fenway enterprises and broadcasting for the Boston Red Sox.
The Scottrade Center named Marty Brooks general manager.
The Miami Dolphins named John Clark vice president of sponsorship sales and service, Dick Haley a player personnel analyst and Chris Shea personnel coordinator.
The Philadelphia Eagles promoted Jon Sandusky to director of pro personnel.
Billy Casper Golf promoted Jered Wieland to Midwest regional vice president, Aaron Czajka to Midwest regional manager and Paul Taggart to New Jersey regional manager.
KemperSports promoted Laura Cray to national food and beverage director and Adrienne Flentge to national director of vendor partnerships, and hired Richard Carter as Southeastern regional operations director.
The Chicago Blackhawks named Mark Bernard general manager of minor league affiliates. Bernard is vice president and assistant general manager of the American Hockey League’s Norfolk (Va.) Admirals.
The American Hockey League’s Grand Rapids (Mich.) Griffins promoted Matt Batchelder to director of ticket sales, John Hoffa to group sales manager and Rich Meyers to director of game operations. Kevin Curnow was hired as marketing and season-ticket account manager.
The American Hockey League’s Quad City Flames hired Michael Weindruch as director of corporate sales. Weindruch was vice president of sales and marketing for the Class A Midwest League’s Quad Cities River Bandits.
Connie Kowal, president of the National Lacrosse League’s Chicago Shamrox, will not return to the team next season.
Marketing Werks promoted Leela Sullivan and Andrew Connell to senior directors of client service, Chris Hartweg and Julie Schweigert to directors of client service and Brian Balok to associate director. The company hired Cindy Kosydor as associate director of public relations and Diana Lopez-Obalda as a group account manager
Octagon named Matt Neidl group director of its multicultural marketing division. Neidl was director of experiential marketing for Latinsphere Experiential.
Rose Allyn promoted Julia Diament to operations director and account manager, and hired Melissa Rein as director of public relations.
Precision Sports Entertainment hired Ryan Nixon as a manager of sponsorship sales and consultation and Gina Solimando as an account manager.
Velocity Sports & Entertainment promoted Brennan Adams to manager in the alliances division, Tom Hendry to senior manager in the customer entertainment group, Dayna Winslette to manager in the consulting division, and Arleen Zulawski to senior manager in the consulting division. Trey Walters was hired as a manager in the consulting division.

The Sony Ericsson WTA Tour hired Scott MacLeod as senior vice president of business development. MacLeod was principal and founder of Force10 Marketing.
The Muhammad Ali Center hired Gregory Roberts as president and chief executive officer. Roberts was president and chief executive officer of the D.C. Children and Youth Investment Trust Corp.
Affliction Entertainment named Michael Cohen chief operating officer.
The International Alliance for Youth Sports named Arturo Sanchez-Alvarez Latin America regional representative.
United States Masters Swimming hired Rob Butcher as executive director. Butcher was chief marketing officer for the World Racing Group.
