The NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners Association named Nancy Mitchell special consultant. Mitchell was associate director, child and family services at Midwest WholeChild Development Group.
The Mid-Continent Conference named Tom Douple commissioner. Douple was athletic director at Southern Utah University.
Georgetown University named Mike Carey sports information director, Ben Shove assistant sports information director and Jim Donatelli assistant sports information director/publications coordinator. Carey was associate director for athletic communications at St. John’s University and Shove was sports information director at Wagner College.
Chicago State University hired Darren Hamilton as athletic director. Hamilton was program coordinator for the Duke University athletic department.

The Philadelphia Eagles named Bonnie Grant director of communications. Grant was deputy city representative for the city of Philadelphia.
The New York Jets hired Andy Lee as general counsel and vice president, legal affairs. Lee was a senior associate at Proskauer Rose LLP.
Former NFL player Hugh Douglas was named team ambassador by the Philadelphia Eagles. Douglas will serve as the community relations spokesman, make appearances and be involved in marketing efforts for the team.
The AFL’s Grand Rapids (Mich.) Rampage named Scott Woodruff to the newly created position of general manager of business operations. Woodruff was executive director of business development for the Chicago Rush, and was previously executive director of development for the Rampage.

ESPN named Keith Clinkscales senior vice president and general manager of ESPN Publishing. Clinkscales, the former president and chief executive officer of Vibe Magazine, had been a consultant for ESPN ABC Sports since March.
OLN named Bill Clement host of the network’s studio show for NHL coverage and Mike “Doc” Emrick lead play-by-play announcer for NHL games.
G4 hired Neal Tiles as president and promoted Dale Hopkins to chief operating officer. Tiles was executive vice president of marketing for DirecTV.
Richard Childress Racing hired Tom Knox as managing director of business development and promoted Jason Garrow to director of sponsor services. Knox was vice president of business development for Rusty Wallace Inc.
International Speedway Corp. hired Kathy Milthorpe as managing director for strategic initiatives. Milthorpe was executive vice president and chief financial officer for the LPGA.
Ajax America named Scott Brody director of commercial operations.

Ashworth Inc. named Peter Case executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer and promoted Peter Holmberg to executive vice president of merchandising, design and production. Per Gasseholm resigned as executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Oakley Inc. hired Scott Olivet as chief executive officer and director. Olivet was Nike Inc.’s vice president, Nike Subsidiaries and new business development.
Ahead Authentics apparel named Greg Bowser, Mike Herber and Charlie Burgywn sales executives. Bowser will cover western Pennsylvania and West Virginia, Herber will cover Indiana and Burgywn will cover North Carolina.
The Sony Ericsson WTA Tour named Stacey Allaster president and promoted David Shoemaker to chief operating officer and general counsel. Allaster is vice president of Tennis Canada and tournament director for the Rogers Cup Women’s and Men’s Championships.

Bob Elphinston was named sports consultant to the organizing committee of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Elphinston is vice president of FIBA.
The International Cycling Union named Pat McQuaid president.
