The Los Angeles Dodgers added president to Vice Chairman Jamie McCourt’s title.
The Cleveland Cavaliers named Marc Feldman corporate sales executive, Joel Layman marketing services coordinator and Ryan Polosky community relations coordinator. Feldman was an attorney at Ulmer & Berne in Cleveland, Layman was a seasonal assistant in the marketing department and Polosky was a seasonal assistant in the community relations department.
The Washington Mystics hired Curtis Symonds as chief operating officer. Symonds is former executive vice president for Black Entertainment Television.
The Mid-American Conference named Aimee DuPree-Chambers assistant commissioner for marketing and corporate programs, Shonna Brown assistant commissioner for sports programs and women’s basketball operations, Jeremy Guy assistant media relations director, Korinth Patterson director of compliance and Brett McWethy and Danielle Whitmore media relations assistants.
The Patriot League hired Richard Wanninger as assistant executive director of external relations. Wanninger was director of communications and public affairs for the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency.
Lehigh University promoted Rich Haas to director of ticket sales and event marketing, Julie Oltman to director of sports camps and emerging technologies, Tyler Osler to director of equipment and merchandising operations and Jeff Tourial to director of broadcasting and multimedia.
California Speedway hired Michael Yurick as senior director of operations. Yurick comes to the speedway from Riverside Motorsports Park.
Comcast-Spectacor promoted Linda Dijoseph to director of security operations at Wachovia Complex. She was manager of security administration.
Lowe’s Motor Speedway promoted Jerry Gappens to senior vice president of events and Dan Farrell to senior vice president of corporate sales.
The Houston Texans promoted Barry Asimos to vice president of operations, Rocky Harris to director of media relations and Kevin Cooper to media relations manager.
Callaway Golf Co. appointed George Fellows president and chief executive officer and elected him as a director. Ronald Beard was elected chairman.
The NHL named former NHL official Stephen Walkom senior vice president and director of officiating.
The Atlanta Thrashers named Brian Potter assistant director of media relations. Potter was manager of media relations for the Washington Capitals.
The Los Angeles Kings promoted Lee Callans to hockey operations administrator and named Mike Kalinowksi manager of communications, Ben Peirce manager of game entertainment and Stephanie Krauss communications and broadcasting assistant. Kalinowski was director of public relations for the AHL’s Manchester (N.H.) Monarchs, Peirce was manager of creative services for the Monarchs and Krauss was a public relations assistant for the Monarchs.
The Phoenix Coyotes hired Kevin Crawley as manager of media relations and publications. Crawley was manager of media relations and Internet services for the Springfield (Mass.) Falcons of the American Hockey League.
The Tampa Bay Lightning named Claude Loiselle assistant general manager. Loiselle was associate director of hockey operations for the NHL.
The ECHL’s Dayton (Ohio) Bombers named Matt Gentil vice president of corporate partnerships, Albert Branca director of ticket operations and Tiffany Dixon group sales coordinator.
The CHL expansion Youngstown Steelhounds hired Adam Hanson as an account
The Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League hired Jamie Martin as account executive. Martin was a sales associate with the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts.
The Florida Everblades of the ECHL promoted Nathan Gosline to director of sales, Joshua Schwinghamer to director of marketing and Sandy Moskal to box office manager and hired Ethan May as an account executive.
The ECHL promoted Melinda Malavasi to marketing coordinator. Malavasi will continue as executive assistant to the commissioner.
The Central Collegiate Hockey Association hired Manon Rheaume as director of marketing and sales. Rheaume was marketing director for Powerade Iceport in Milwaukee.
General Sports and Entertainment LLC hired Melissa Grant as an executive assistant.
Octagon promoted Jeff Shifrin to president, marketing/North America.
Strategic Sports Group promoted Michael Neuman to senior vice president, group account director.
