The Altoona (Pa.) Curve of the Class AA Eastern League promoted Brent Boznanski from senior director of ticketing to senior director of new business development; Jeff Garner from director of ticket sales to senior director of ticketing and marketing; Derek Martin and Chris Phillips from ticket account managers to associate directors of group sales; and Ben Rothrock from ballpark operations and merchandising assistant to ticket account manager. Tracie Boswell was hired as director of merchandising, Tammie Duran as box office manager, Charlton Jordan as director of mascot operations, and Matt Zidik as executive producer of in-game entertainment.
The Florida Marlins named Matt Roebuck director of media relations. Roebuck was assistant director of baseball information for the Seattle Mariners.
The Boston Red Sox named Dr. Thomas Gill the club’s medical director.
Ray Compton started his own sales and marketing consulting business, Compton Strategies LLC. Compton led sales and marketing efforts for the Indianapolis Colts. He will continue to work with the Colts as a consultant.
Octagon hired Kathy Connors as director of strategic communications. Connors was manager of NBC Sports Communications.
ESPN International promoted Tim Bunnell, formerly vice president, international programming and marketing, to senior vice president, international programming and marketing; Mike Walters, formerly director, programming and acquistions, to vice president, international programming; and Chris Calcinari, formerly director, international production and operations, to vice president, international production and operations.
Lee Bushkell was hired as general manager of PGATour.com. Bushkell was with Turner Sports Interactive, where he was director of subscription services for nascar.com and director of consumer products for pga.com.
ESPN promoted Kim Armor, formerly vice president, finance, to senior vice president, finance; Tony Waggoner, formerly vice president and controller, to senior vice president and controller; Brian Ignatowski, formerly assistant controller, to vice president and assistant controller, financial reporting and subsidiaries; and Dean Zirolli, formerly assistant controller of accounting operations, to vice president and assistant controller of accounting operations.

NBC Olympics promoted Dan Suratt to vice president, business and new media development, Mark Levy to head of the profiles unit (in addition to his role as senior producer and creative director), Becky Chatman to producer, and Randy Raddatz to vice president, sourcing and technical logistics. Brian Brown rejoined NBC Olympics as story editor and producer.
The New York-New Jersey MetroStars hired Giovanni Savarese as director of youth soccer and player development.
