Ad-ding it up: Championship game advertisers
Published January 31, 2005
Following are companies that used this year’s NFC and AFC championship games as an ad platform for at least one minute and 30 seconds across the two games. The NFC game between Atlanta and Philadelphia aired on Fox, beginning at 3 p.m. ET. The AFC title game, New England vs. Pittsburgh, aired on CBS, beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET.
The totals that appear here were compiled using the feeds of Charlotte affiliates WCCB (Fox) and WBTV (CBS). Only those ads that aired during the game broadcast or postgame show coverage are represented. A rundown of pregame advertisers is presented separately (see chart at right). Some companies with strictly Charlotte-area affiliations have been excluded. Not every company listed advertised during both broadcasts. Network promotions are listed separately, below.
For a complete rundown of advertisers during the games, please see www.sportsbusinessdaily.com.
